if the bengals miss the playoffs, the records stuff is just a giant taunt, and a reminder of what this season actually couldve been

Yeah glad for the guys but sad that they will probably miss the post season
If you would have told me before the season that this team’s best players would have those individual stats I would have assumed at least 12 wins.

Coy Bacon had 21.5 sacks in 1976 (or was it 1977?), but it wasn't officially kept by the NFL at that point.
Still, that is one that can be counted pretty accurately retroactively back to a certain point, and has been.
Officially, Hendrickson has it. In reality, Bacon does.

That is the key, to a player it probably means they have to outdo themselves again next year to win a ring, meanwhile mahomes looking average and nearly didn’t lose a game. I put it on coaching.

Can't get an incompletion if you take a sack rather than throw it away.

People are just trying to find something to celebrate at what could be the end of season.

Hendrickson if Bengals can extend him is a super strong contender for the Bengals Ring of Honor.

That is my biggest beef with Burrow. He seems to worry too much about completion percentage. Throw it away if it isn't there but he usually just takes a sack instead

I don't think Joe is thinking about his completion percentage. I think, he believes that if he can just hold on for another tenth of a second he'll have a receiver

Slim hope it would actually help this FO realize what they could have if they really tried to go all-in for these next couple years, but the pessimist in me doesn't believe they'll change their stripes much.
More than likely, they'll retain a few guys, add a couple mid-tier FAs to replace departing guys, and hope the recently drafted guys continue to blossom and maybe a rookie or two to play well like we saw with Mims.
Related note - Did Geno Stone do enough this last month of the season to convince anyone of keeping him as the incumbent FS for 2025?
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
Sorry for Party Rocking!

Since we're talking Burrow and stats, his MVP-like season naturally moved him up the career passing ranks for the Bengals.
- He's 5th for total TDs thrown at 140 and will pass Palmer next season to claim the 4th spot. He'd have to throw 47 TD passes to tie Boomer at 187.
- Another 4,000 yard passing season also has him pass and claim the 4th spot from Palmer.

He only convinced a few people - unfortunately those people are Duke, Lou, Zac and the Brown family.

Burrow has let it be known that his mentality is all sacks aren't bad. He will hand in there until the last mili-second.
I get it can be frustrating, but so was Andy when he threw the ball into the stands if his first read wasn't there

Honestly, I think i counted about 2 maybe 3 sacks last night that Joe could have just gotten rid of the ball. The one he got hurt on, if he had climbed up into the pocket, instead of going backwards, he might of had a chance of completing a pass. I thought last night was one of Joe's worst games. His passes were not on spot as they usually are. He missed behind Yoshi for a TD and Chase for int.
