New DC hired?

2002 was a long time ago. The league average completion % was 59.6, the average QB Rating was 80.4. This year those numbers were 65.3% and 92.3... it's a pretty different league defensively.

Well it's not like he's been away from it since 2002. I'm not saying I want him, I'm just saying I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Well I didn't see it on TikTok, I don't even know how to tik tok. I saw it in an online story that said nothing about a joke.

I would think ZT has an idea of who he wants prior to letting Lou go.

That's logical.....Al Golden is still coaching in the CFP.

I'm glad this whole thing was nothing but a joke (not funny). I would be pretty ticked if they made such a quick decision without talking to several more candidates.

Golden actually makes sense but he wasn't a very good Linebacker coach for us. He has been a very good DC for Notre Dame though.

I would actually be optimistic with Golden, he didn't have very good Linebackers to work with when he was here.

Same Harley. I get it if Zac already has his coach in mind but we should interview Eberflus at the very least.

Didn't like that they closed their minds to Saleh or Dennis Allen.

After seeing him out there on the field, anything has to be better if he's not on the field.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Under the Belichick tree is about the only thing that gives me positive thoughts.

Eberflus would bring a lot more excitement as he has been good as a DC in a 4-3.

agreed..100%

I think I consider the Belichick tree to be a negative rather than a positive. It's largely seems to consist of guys who left being under Belichick and failed in the NFL and then went back to him until they got another chance (and failed again).

Belichick is a HoF coach, but he sure wasn't producing many quality coaches for the rest of the league.

Eberflus wouldn't be a bad hire.

Slow NFL news day (big story is the Cleveland QB tore his Achilles again reaching for a clean towel), so whatever gets the attention of the masses.

Regarding speculation around Golden, I have felt from the start that he is on Zac's short list.

Taylor was brought in to develop a QB. That is his role.

The overall Team management, coordinator hires, etc., is handled by only God knows who. Tobin, Brown???

No, Taylor is not a QB Coach or even an OC, he was brought in to be Head Coach. That means his responsibility is an entire team, not just 1 guy who wasn't on the team until over a year after Taylor got hired.

JMHO that Zac has his guy and has. And his guy wants to bring his DL guy & LB guy.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
