OHIO STATE Cotton Bowl
#1
Beat Tennessee in Columbus and Oregon in Rose Bowl. On to Cotton Bowl, one down side is it is Texas in Texas. Friday Night. Put losing to Oregon and Michigan in the past. Ohio State has beaten Tennessee and Oregon bad in play-offs, as if they have a chip on their shoulder now. The 2 Ohio State WR's, and the QB are like Burrow, Chase and Higgins and as Howard Cosell said, " They Could Go All The Way ". Really, Smith is like Chase, and can't be covered by one person.

I think I lost my Ohio State National Champion bet slip that I made when I bet Burrow for MVP and us to win the Super Bowl at Hard Rock downtown!

I think Ohio State wins this easily, but the spread's only 5.5, and Vegas is almost always right, so maybe not as easily as I think.

I agree that Notre Dame can't beat OSU for the ship, and I have friends are die-hard Dame fans, so it should be fun!

I am a fan of both Teams.  Either way I win tonight.

The spread is 5.5 because Texas had/has the #1 Defense in college football coming into the CFP.  ASU ran all over them in the second half because Texas got worn down (ASU had the ball 13mins in the 3rd quarter) by a generational performance by an exceptional player.  OSU has a good run game, but not compared to ASU.  Howard is going to get beat to hell by Texas' pass rush, but I don't think Texas will shut down the passing game.

Ewers and Howard are both prone to throwing silly INTs and at bad times.  The team that makes the fewest mistakes will likely win (not a revelation).

Should be a very good game.

I agree.

I think the strength of OSU's offense is explosive plays and Texas is good at limiting explosive plays.

I think Ewers could be the difference maker here in the battle of QBs.

Should be a great game!

Supposed to snow here starting at noon and lasting until three in the morning, so not sure what I'm going to do for the game. Might just stay here or get an Über down the street to the Tavern since the sidewalks will be covered in snow and ice.

Ewers hasn't been the same since returning from his injury.  First few games of the year, he was a Heisman candidate, but since then he's been injured twice, missed time, lost mobility and accuracy, etc.  Now with more and more time to heal he's been getting better, but if he was week 1 Ewers, I'd predict texas, but I think OSU will win.

Pretty epic with how it finished when his old roommate, Jack Sawyer, stripped the ball and scored to clinch the win!

On a cooler note, a kid, Jermaine Mathews Jr, that was in a class I presented to at Winton Woods in Cincinnati, played in the game tonight for OSU!

#24!

He had a tackle!

I'd have to go search Facebook but I might have a picture with him.

I almost forgot!

I posted it on Facebook, but they let my son be an honorary team captain for the game!

I didn't go to Ohio State nor do I care about their sports teams. I'll keep my chatter to the Blue Jackets.
