Yeah, I think that I received the same or similar PM.

As I said who knows the truth, but remember, the Charger's game was the game where Rankins was a late scratch due to "illness". He never played again. Just food for thought.

And here I thought this was gonna be a thread about all of us in college.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Alright, who the hell let Diddy into the locker room..... Ninja
Is this why they had the defensive "players only" meeting?

Rankings seems to be the gift that keeps on giving. What a wasted signing that turned out to be.

CTB was in his 3rd season.

If your players don't respect you enough to be in shape and be professionals, then you need to be fired regardless. All this "Lou is a fall guy" nonsense started up awfully quick. Guy had a below average defense in 5 of his 6 career years as a DC. But sure, it's just some bad luck and injuries.

Exactly

I don't get these guys acting like Lou just had a bad year or the injury bug bit him. Our defense under him has been at or leaning hard towards the bottom the entire time he's been here save the one.

And I highly doubt we wisj we had him back.

Anyway you look at it, Lou did not run a tight ship in terms of accountability. If anyone thinks that I'm just bullshitting, just go back and look at the number of "atomic shoulders" that led to many, many more yards when a simple well executed tackle would have put an end to the play.

I agree Lou had to go. I was a defender of his but watching it take 12 games for him to realize his players could not grasp and execute his system and change it reflected poorly on him as a coach. And yes there was a clear lack of discipline that also showed on the field - poor tackling and terrible gap and lane discipline point to a coach running too easygoing a shop. The defense had no identity.

If there are guys on the team who are not taking their jobs seriously enough they need to go. Period.

I am not saying 1 strike and you are out. But multiple instances? Yep.

None of CTB, Battle, or Burton are important enough to keep on the roster as knuckleheads. Plus, it pisses the serious guys off and they eventually will leave.

Benching Battle to start was fine. Burton is on his last strike. He can try to get his crap together on the PS as far as I am concerned if he messes up again. CTB is not ever gonna be CB1.

But we have so many other problems issues, most of them probably get another year.

Burton is in Burton World..I think he has a hard time finding Paycor Stadium

Lou sealed his fate when he let Pratt mouth off about how tackling wasn't a problem when they missed like double digits tackles that one game. He didn't bench him (for at least 1 drive!). No accountability at all.

Had to be the worst tackling unit we've seen in a while, many 4th quarter drives they're trying to strip when bringing the carrier down would have given Burrow a chance.

Right

Our tackling especially the first half of season was somewhere between pathetic and non-existent. And just totally unacceptable for our DC to let that continue to happen.

CTB trying to strip the ball while the receiver gets 10 more yards down the field as another example.

Yep... And his next job will be back as a DB coach.

Not even sure what happened there, I guess I missed it? Normally it's P&R that is folk's downfall.

Caesar had a lot of inside info. I think he had family members friends with current or past players.
