Watts probably fits better with what he'll need for his defense, as well, as he's more of a center fielder.

Emmanwori looks pretty comfortable playing deep Safety, and he definitely let's his presence be known when he's asked to play up in the box.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

It's not clear that either of these guys will be available when we pick in round 2, but ..
Xavier Watts Notre Dame is more of a Bates type; a converted WR roaming center or right center field with the ability to quickly recognize coverages and come up quickly when needed to cover the run.  Watts plays mostly single high safety.
Nick Emmanwori S. Carolina is more like Cam Chancellor (or David Fulcher for Bengals Old-timers), a 6-4 230 lb converted high school MLB who is an amazing athlete (though I wonder about his short shuttle change of direction) who is very good in coverage and an enforcer when he gets near the line.  Emmanwori plays mostly quarters coverage.
Both were team captains.

Who do you think is the better fit for the Bengals?

Xavier Watts is the better fit with Jordan Battle manning the Strong Safety position.

The Dolphins have a 25-year-old who may hit FA with a similar skill set to Bates. Holland will demand top dollar, but he may be an option, and he is proven to be very good, rookies are not NFL tested.

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

I would rather have Emmanwori as a prospect. Dude reminds me of the late great Sean Taylor.

Watts though is probably the better fit and is used Golden system.

WTS draft them both! Ninja

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Yes, Holland would be a fantastic grab in FA and is actually proven unlike the guy we brought in last year that just seemed to benefit
from being in the right place at the right time and couldn't tackle to save his life. If we could get Holland while bringing in a Guard and
DL help in FA that would really open up the Draft to grab some weapons.

Lots of good WR's early like Egbuka and I really like this TE draft class as well and Burrow shown he goes to TE's when he has them
this year.

High praise with Sean Taylor, but I guess I could see that. Problem for us is we don't really have a FS and Stone certainly isn't it.

Jordan Battle was never the problem at SS, so we got the guy there IMO.

I know I have said that Tycen Anderson can play FS, but he seems wanted at ST's where he is like All Pro so that is pry where he stays.

Emmanwori can play deep Safety well, just watch the video of him that I posted earlier.
