When you see this, it makes it all the maddening/saddening that they missed the play offs

Yep and in the same division.
Crazy that one of those teams didnt even make the playoffs.
The Bengals wasted a few awesome performances this past season.

Cool to see the Bengals have so many finalists. Burrow will almost certainly take CPOY but that is the only one I see coming back to Cincinnati.

What an embarrassment and waste to 3 of the top 10 players in the NFL.

Agreed, I was about to make the same post. Good for Burrow though if he does win CPOY. He's had to deal with injuries in his career and acknowledged it can be mentally exhausting. I hope he gets the honor since he's put in the work to heal and play ball for the Bengals.

Watt was basically on a milk carton down the stretch. He was literally getting clean sheeted by backups. Kind of a joke he’s even a finalist.

I think Hamlin is in the running also, he barely played last year i think that is why he did not get it over Flaco, he could get it this year since he played alot and well

Hamlin isn't getting the award. It will either be Burrow or Darnold and Burrow is the strong betting favorite. Bovada

Don't you think Chase has a good shot to win Offensive Player of the Year?

they have a shot since theyre finalists, but I only think Trey has a real shot of winning any award here. Im not even sure they give Burrow his 2nd comeback player of the year award

It's because you are of such profound wisdom, Frank Booth. - SunsetBengal

No. Last I saw was Barkley being a -5000 to win it. It’s almost guaranteed that he does.

Yup, ran for over 2k in 16 games and could have probably broken the single season record if they played their starters in the final week. Might have had a shot at the MVP if his QB didn't vulture about 10 of his 1-yard TD runs. Lol

Put 250 on Burrow to win MVP at there start of the year in the Sportsbook in Hard Rock downtown, so hopefully he wins and I cash out a few grand!

It's so sad because, had we had a defense that could stop anyone and get us into the playoffs, he wins it easily.

That is probably true.  I am not sure if its as simple as this, but had Hubbard** Sacked Lamar, and not gotten stiff armed into hilarity,  Burrow prob wins the MVP.

McPherson hits that FG in game 1 vs Balt - Burrow prob wins the MVP

KC -  No call on the last pass from Mahomes - Burrow MVP

One of the above happens, and he has it.   But, they didnt.

The receiving triple crown is a rather remarkable achievement. Only the 5th to do so since the merger over 50 years ago. I like Barkley a lot, but if he wins I would attribute it to team success putting him over the top. Chase was in rare company. Perhaps if Barkley had played the 17th game, and set the all-time rushing record, rather than ending up 8th, I myself would put him number 1. But that receiving triple crown holds a lot of weight for me personally.

I agree Hamlin is a longer shot but many thought he should have got it last year and maybe they correct that mistake this year

Your original post asked me what my reasoning was for believing Damar won’t get it. The answer is that I trust the betting market. He has +4000 odds. He’s a finalist, but I don’t believe he is in serious contention for the award.
