Also, time of possession matters. NE won in that, too (34:03 to 25:57). Which is obviously going to happen when you can’t stop the run, and turn the ball over multiple times.

But I get it, we just need Joe to ball out to start better. If last season proved anything it’s that we tend to win most of the time when he does. Ninja

Yep. Cinci.  could not stop the run and couldn't stop the quarterback running and get the ball back when they needed to. I actually felt like New England could have scored more points if they pushed the pedal to the metal.

I think people are taking Duke’s comments on the O-line the wrong way.

First up, he’s talking about the O-line rather than just the interior O-line. So when he says banged up he’s talking about the Tackles. Although it’s worth noting here that the tackles being injured does affect the guards: it disrupts the chemistry when back-ups come in, they may have to change the way they play to deal with the limitations of the banged up/replacement tackles etc.

Secondly, he’s defensive because of the national narrative that the Bengals don’t protect Burrow. The Guard play was a mess but the Tackles have been adequately addressed with the free agency signing of Orlando Brown and the drafting of Mims and the Center with Karras. The RG was adequately addressed as well but last season seems a season too far for Cappa but he was a good signing until then. That doesn’t mean Tobin doesn’t recognize it is time to move on from Cappa. But with the three hardest spots on the O-line locked down, the Bengals aren’t in a bad position on the O-line going into Free Agency.

Offense needs that "real feel" of game action, the OL definitely needs the reps for continuity and the defense obviously could use the work to get their asses on the same page.

Darren seems to blame the field goal issues on the snap and hold. Sound quality isn't the best so turn up your speakers

All hopes turn to next year

I like what I am hearing from Scott Peters so far, think he will be a no nonsense OL coach and hopefully he will be able to coach up
the youth and keep the vets ascending in their play.
