One first rounder who is around 21 and you have for five years.

Mack was 27. Bears gave up the farm.
Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

When Mack was traded to the bears he was 27 and the deal was 2 firsts (2019 and 20) a third in 20, a sixth in 19 and they got back second in 20 and a conditional 5th in 20. Not sure what the condition was. I don’t think a 30 year old Hendrickson gets that much of a return. I hope I’m wrong as I would that for Trey.
The teams I hear most connected to him are Washington and Atlanta. I’ve come with a few scenarios just to gauge a potential return.
Washington trades 29 overall for Trey straight up. Possibly 29 and 79 for Trey and we flip 118.
Atlanta. I don’t see them offering 15. That could be pick 46 this year and a 1, most likely a 2 next year. Or something not quite as elaborate as the Mack deal.
Curious to see what you, and others reasonably expect a return for Trey to look like.

So Trey for a rookie Myles Murphy?
I prefer using Trey to get a proven player, if possible.

Is the Bengal Front office too lazy, stupid or incompetent that they can’t do the leg work themselves to find proper value for Trey regardless if they keep or trade him? The Brown family lack of knowledge, willingness to participate or actually strategize the NFL player market is more than underwhelming as a fan. Penny wise but nickel foolish is how they operate which makes old Mikey and the clan perpetual NFL embarrassments. I may cancel my season tickets if they don’t get their shit together. Average doesn’t cut it for me when they have one of the greatest QB of all time on their roster.

Could be they are not motivated to trade him. I'm sure they'd love to keep him at his current price. As I mentioned previously, they're are doing right by Trey to allow him to explore and bring back the best he can get.

Who here thinks Trey will holdout this year if he doesn't get an extension or raise this year?

I was thinking of this yesterday myself.
Washington is in win now mode.
What player can they draft at 29 that has anything close to Trey's impact?
Honestly it would be a good deal for them to trade 29 and 61 for Trey. They still make out great.

Fully guaranteed means you get it no matter what the team decides. "We'll probably franchise tag you twice in a row in the future" is a $0 fully guaranteed deal.
Ahh I get ya now.
Yes, if something like that happens, it could impact decision to tag again.
But from Bengals POV, they don't HAVE to trade him or sign him to a big deal is all I'm saying.
I'm also saying being tagged twice in a row is still a lot of money.
I'd have to go back and try to find which media reporter posted it, but they said Bengals were allowing Hendrickson to seek a trade but were looking for either a 1st rounder in return or some Day 2 package deal such as multiple Day 2 picks.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
Sorry for Party Rocking!

Browns fans, today is your Super Bowl. Let the confetti rain down and have a parade - because you are not going to sniff the real SB any time soon.
Your ownership will pay $90M this year for two players, one of whom has been one of the worst trades in NFL history and just had a setback in recovering from torn achilles.
My son, the Browns fan, called and interrupted my work out to announce that news to me. He was taken aback when I chuckled and told him that the parade of poor spending moves by the Browns will never end.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

If you hold out don’t you just restart where you left off?

Yeah I thought they were in cap trouble as it was.

I like Trey but he’s a guy who signed an extension then the next year asked for another extension (which he wasn’t even eligible for) or trade me then came back the next year and again told the Bengals extend me or trade me
Trey is a good dude who plays hard but I could very well see a hold out/in if he doesn’t get a trade or extension.
Has he always had the same agent? Asking because that’s who he should be mad at. Had him sign that first short extension instead of betting on himself then asked for one he wasn’t even eligible to get, which his agent should have known.

Sunset; I think I have already questioned your parenting prowess previously, and if I remember correctly, you had put the blame on your wife's family. So I won't bring that up again. But you can imagine that whenever I see a post on this board from an original, longstanding member that begins with such blasphemous words as "My son, the Browns fan" I had to read it one more time to ensure I have not developed dyslexia.
But yes. For one day, Browns fans can rejoice ......... before reality revisits.

Yeah, we would have to get a late 1st rounder and a player for Trey. I don't see this happening honestly. Trey will be back.

It's alright, I've come to terms with him being a fan of another team. We still hold the Buckeyes in common. On another note, I kind of ask for the Bantering from him, as I'll send him messages like "with the second pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select Sheduer Sanders"...

Your prophecy may come to fruition, Sunset. After all, we are talking about the Team who drafted Manziel, passed on Josh Allen to draft Baker Mayfield and of course the coup de grace - DeShaun Watson.
