To me, if you're gonna accept the invite, you should work out.
Otherwise, you could be taking a spot for someone else who could have taken advantage of the larger exposure and really improved their chances to be drafted (earlier).
I don't know. I assume that's an option that some players would take. I'm not really arguing one way or the other on this, as I see both sides' points of view.

I don't care if these guys test at pro days. I would like the numbers to be more available if they go that route.
Tennessee Pro Day.
Dylan Sampson ran a mid 4.4s no exact time mentioned.
Dante Thornton Jr. ran a 4.3
Omarr Norman Lott ran but no numbers.

Shemar Stewart ranks #1 out of 1829 Defensive Ends since 1987 in combine testing. Perfect 10/10 RAS.

I'm pretty sure this is Duke Tobin chatting with Mike Tomlin at Georgia's Pro Day. About 70% sure... I've gotten pretty good at playing "Where' Waldo" with Tobin at draft events over the years lol.

Mykel williams pro day 40 times of 4.73 and 4.81. I’ve seen weight and height adjustments range from 75-80% to 59%. Some sitesxhave knocked him down to a 3rd round grade

3rd round nah. High mid second maybe yea. He is way too good as a versatile alignment heads up run defender with high level hand usage.

Crazy. Shemar Stewart makes a lot of sense for us at 17 even if Trey is back which I am predicting.

RAS does not always prove everything. His production was just not there.

True. I could just see him being the pick but honestly with Golden's new Defense a Jalon Walker makes even more sense rather than a 4-3
End like we used to always pick. Golden likes to have LB's rush the passer unlike Lou and we don't really have that Viper player right now.
Ossai could flourish in Golden's Defense though.

I think if Mike Green is there he will be the pick IMO. I think you can find DE's who can stop the run a little later on.

The small school gives me pause but I am not against Mike Green. We need immediate pass rushers rather than run stoppers anyways.
Also, drafting with size in mind has come back to bite us. Just draft the player, not the size, if he can rush the passer that is what we need.

What tests he did do, he impressed in, but with no bench press or agility drills, a HUGE grain of salt has to be taken with that.

Meh he shows the elite lateral agility on tape zero worry about that. Guys like Shemar Stewart have a very high floor even without college production. I can only thing of 1 DE that tested elite measurements/testing that didn't become a solid NFL player and that was Vernon Gholston and there was likely some other issue there.
Mykel Williams is another people are going to put down because of production but we are talking about a player with a great frame, power/anchor and high end hand use. Watching him anchor and hold double teams at the 4i is awesome. Something that even Kris Jenkins isn't good at 40ish lbs heavier.

Brian Johnston had a 9.99 RAS in '08, the Chiefs took a 7th round flyer on him, and he was out of the league a year later.
Bryan Thomas had a 9.96 RAS in '02. While he lasted 11 years in the league, he only averaged 3 sacks a year with a career high of 8.5 in '06.
Trevor Scott had a 9.94 RAS. He lasted 7 years and had 16.5 career sacks.
Board fave Margus Hunt had a 9.91 RAS.
So, while I do agree that a high RAS trends towards a guy being a safer pick when discussing edges, it doesn't appear to be a slam dunk by any stretch. In a thinner edge class, the risk would be warranted to me, but in such a stacked class, I'd like to see one with more actual production.

Good numbers for a 330 pounder, but not quite what was expected, either. Have to wonder if the hammy he was dealing with at the combine hampered him a bit.

Feel bad for the kid. If it's as bad as it sounds, he'll probably fall to Day 3 and his rookie season will be a wash.
