Chase's peak is the highest, but Chad was better for longer.
AJ 3rd. Interestig battle for 4th/5th amongst Isaac Curtis, Collingsworth, Pickens, TJ, Eddie Brown, Boyd, and Higgins. The more recent guys have nore receptions and such with more passing these days. The older guys have a better AV and linger tenures. Think he had a couple drops late last season, but Chad would disappear in big games and wasn't clutch. Give me Ja'Marr everytime in the clutch over Chad. Heck, Housh was more clutch than Chad if we are taking shots at Ja'Marr and his drops.

I’m not saying CC and Brown weren’t good, just not the best for the topic. ![]()

Agreed, Collinsworth and Brown were good, but not Bengals All Time good. ![]() Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations -Frank Booth 1/9/23

I was actually pretty vocal earlier in his career that he needed to clean up his drops when he was at 8.4% his first 2 years, and he has made good improvement on it. He's at 4.4% over the last 2 years, which isn't elite or anything to crow about, but it's good. Last 2 years for a couple other current great WRs... Tyreek Hill: 4.9% Davante Adams: 4.4% Ceedee Lamb: 3.9% Amon-Ra St Brown: 3.9% Granted lower is always better, and I would love to see Chase improve even more. ____________________________________________________________

Pointing out we have had some great WRs throughout our time in the NFL.

Thought Ja'Marr has gotten much better catching the ball the last couple of years.

Again, for me:
1) Chad 2) Chase 3) AJ ------------ 4) Curris ---------- And then I think you can have genuine disagreements about CC, Pickens,,TH, Brown, & Boyd. I think Scott, McGee, and Tee (at this point) are reaches. But as for #1, anything beyond Chad, AJ, Chase is a reach. Though I do appreciate the love for Isaac, who is a clear #4 for me. 5th/6th would depend on if you just want a ranking or if you want to actually pick 6 to out on a team. If it is the latter, I probably take Pickens to be AJ's backup as the big receiver. So I have: All around: Chad, Chase Big body: AJ, Pickens Deep speed: Curtis, Chase Slot: Chase, ??? . The slot receiver as a starter is a recent thing. Not that the others couldn't do it, especially CC or TJ, but Boyd has to be in consideration. Brown & Scott are burners. I'd go Boyd/TJ/CC for the last spot on the team as the slot guy. If you are just ranking, it does not matter.

And I'm not sure AJ (Not a knock, I loved him as a player) or Chad could play in the era Curtis did without sustaining multiple injuries. There were very little protections for receivers back then and the defense could just blow them up. These guys today are so protected they barely wear pads. ![]()

Are we pretending that Chad didn't play in the Jacked-Up era? Just one week's highlights. Dudes just launching themselves off the ground and into helmets and yet no flagged hits or injury hits were included. ____________________________________________________________
