Outside of Trey Hendrickson the Bengals have the worst Defensive Line in the NFL. Pass Rushers should be the Bengals #1 priority in this years draft.

Ok I'll play:

QB- (A+) - Burrow and Browning are good 1-2. I wouldn't mind keeping a solid UDFA on the practice squad to groom as a #2.

WR-(A-) . I have Chase, Higgins as #1's, Yoshi #4. Jones, Burton to me are incomplete. could use a #6rd pick or UDFA to round out the group.

RB-(B-) Chase is solid, Perine is a great #3 back. I really want a good #2 tandem back. I think we draft that guy in rd 4/5.

TE-( C+) Gesicki is solid, other than that Sample, Hudson and Grandy are meh.

T- (B) - Mims, OBJ are good, we need better depth than Ford. I think we get one in the draft.

C- (B) Karras is still solid, Lee is up and coming.

G- (D) Patrick and Volson are weak starters, Kirkland is fine as depth/backup potential. We really need a vet FA or day 2 pick here.

DE- © with Trey ( D-) w/o Trey. Murphy is incomplete, Ossai I think was under used. We need a 1st or 2nd rd upgrade here.

DT- (B-) Hill and Slayton are solid/ good not great. Jenkins and Jackson were high picks hopelly pan out w experience. I'm looking to upgrade here @ rd 4/5.

LB- © Wilson and Pratt are declining, Burks is a good #3. This group needs depth and speed. I could see a rd 3-5 upgrade here.

CB- © Hill, CTB, Turner all high picks. cant invest more capital here. Ivey/ Wilson/ Newton ok depth. maybe a 6th rd pick here. definitely UDFA invite.

S- (D) Stone and Battle are weak, need a day 1/2 pick here to improve the room.

ST (B) Rehkow and Adomitis are solid, Money Mac needs to regain his form.

They still need to stop the run, in order to even make the pass rush a viable option. Do you disagree? Otherwise, they'll just be recreating the Colts of the mid-2000's.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Except the 2000's Colts had double-digit wins every year except 2001.
But that's because not only their offense being so good, but they still kept teams from scoring and had good pass defense.

Bengals need to do a better job of getting up on teams in the first half.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!
