It'll be appealed I'm sure. 3 games is the wrong play by the NFL. Harrison was the biggest repeat offender, and the most he got was what? 1 game in 2011?

The hit was a penalty - wont argue that. If AB doesn't duck into it, he hits him in the waist area and by no means was he trying to injure him. But then again, the NFL is the most corrupt organization in the country for a reason. So the odds now of the Bengals playing the Steelers in the first 3 weeks will go up after Rooney blows Goodell.

Now that's funny.

Im surprised it's 3. I'll bet it's appealed back to two.

I want to know the $$$ amount. That's going to be big.

This is Burfict 10th offense. He's on his rookie contract. Harrion's suspension came on his 5th or 6th offense, and he's still at 6.

Facts and numbers aren't nearly as important to him as personal perception.

I'm going off of Facts and Numbers:

Tez has been fined around $140,000 for 5 incidents over 3 years.
Harrison, in 2010 alone, had 5 incidents resulting in $125,000 in just that one year (1 game suspension for him, even though he took to the media to rip on the Commissioner)

This was my rationale for the thought that he would get a 1 game suspension, not 3 games.

On this I agree. He deserved a 1 game suspension. However... I do worry what it will mean for Burfict if it doesn't clean it up NOW, because after that Harrison's history stopped...

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

Yes that's very true. To be honest, I wouldn't be mad if the Bengals let him go. The ironic thing is next man up behind Burfict is PJ Dawson, who they described as basically another Vontaze Burfict Ninja ...

Harrison was suspended after his 6th hit related offense in 2011, and hasn't been fined since. And his breakdown is 1 fine in 2009, 4 in 2010 and then just the suspension in 2011 - not all in 2010.

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/vontaze-burfict-/fines/

This latest thing is Burfict's 7th fine/suspension, but those 7 account for 10 total dirty plays. The Carolina fine was for 2 ankle twisting incidents and his fine for last game vs the Steelers covered 2 PF penalties and diving at Ben.

Not all helmet hits. there's groin punching, ankle twisting, and late hits at knees as well.

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/vontaze-burfict-/fines/

7 punishments for a total of 10 offenses.

Fair enough..  However, let's see how Ben's perception works, and AB's perception works, when they venture into Vontaze' neighborhood, next season..

Ben and Brown sure as hell better not be eating at Burger King during the season.
