Day 2 NFL Draft!!!!!!!!!!!!
#81
(Yesterday, 07:06 PM)007BengalsFan Wrote: I would have picked Harmon with #17 or Nolen if he had been available because you get an interior pass rusher which the Bengals need.  The guys left now in the 2nd or 3rd round I think are a big drop off from those 1st round guys so it doesnt make any sense to go after a DT at this point.  There are still quality players at other positions that could help the team.

I like Harmon as well, but with the drama with Trey and Hubbard retiring, I think the bigger need is DE, nit just for 2025, but for the next 5 years.

I am hopeful Jenkins and Hill  improve our DT rush this year or in round 5 or 6 likely to be a pass rush DT specialist who can't stop the run.

It appears Bengals removed Nolan due to character concerns, but he was gone anyway. It seems to me Bengals targeted Stewart and got him. Time will tell if it was a great or bad decision.

I wouldn't mind going RB in 3rd round. Get a Db in 2nd and there are lots of good quality RB out there. We could use one in my opinion

I would not. Draft is too deep in the middle rounds. I would rather trade back and add a pick or 2 in round 2 myself.

I don't see us trading up. We really never do and need all 6 picks.

Quality guard would be nice today.

I love interior DT pass rushers, I thought Campbell could have been utilized to wreak havoc in Al's schemes coming up the middle. If we do grab a DT who is a great pass rusher, who is left who had 8-10 sacks last year in college?

My concern is also I am not ready to give up on Jenkins as a pass rusher, we draft another and he barely sees the field.
Slayton and McKinnley
Hill and Jenkins + new starter at DT or backup to Hill

Unless the plan is to cut one, I need some numbers to make me say we need this new DT in round 2

If we don't get one in round 2, definitely need to get one in round 3 in my humble opinion unless they plan on signing a vet guard and have the deal all but done.

Emmanwori - Safety
Watts - S
Revel - CB
Henderson - RB
Ersery - LT/G
Savaiinaea - G/OT
Schwesinger - LB
Morrison - CB
Ratledge - G
Thomas - CB
Milum - G
Frazier - G
Amos - CB
Wilson - Center
Judjins - RB

who do you have?

Would like any of them more in round 3 tonight

Nice list, you have a bunch of the ones I am eyeballing myself. I will add a few you don't have and I agree with Synric as usual that
we still need a pass rushing 3-tech....

Darius Alexander
Omarr-Norman-Lott
Ezeirauku

and a few playmakers you didn't have...

Bo Skattebo RB
Mason Taylor TE

Another Safety I like maybe in the 3rd...

Malachi Moore out of Bama to pair with Jordan Battle

Still, I think Guard is the biggest need and I would take one of the ones you mentioned at 49.

They dont absolutely need a Guard in this draft.  Scherff and Risner are still available as well as a rehabbing Hernandez so there are some free agent options.   If the Bengals felt like they could get some big impact players in the 2nd and 3rd that were not OL, maybe they go that direction.  Although highly unlikely, what if Jayden Higgins is still sitting there at #49 or TreVeyon Henderson.  I would think you would have to pick them.

That’s where I am too. Yesterday we got our edge-sealer to replace Sam Hubbard and today we need to replace Alex Cappa.

Yes I know.  I was agreeing and adding on to the conversation.  While many people feel they need a guard this draft, there are other options if an impact player other than OL makes it to the Bengals in round 2 or 3.

Interesting, no Sander or Louisville CB

I could see Henderson and hope it is not Nick E.
