What in the actual...
First The Stewart Project and now an off-ball LB instead of Watts or Ratledge?
If this is Golden's influence, I'm REALLY worried.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

This is 100% Golden if you’re following the press conference. This appears to be his “guy”.

Golden was terrible as HC of Miami in college.
And like I said, ND gets top recruits.

A 25 year old in the 2nd Round. Our 30 year old LBs currently appear to have lost a step already.

Bengals have a Bottom 5, if not actual worst, Guard room.
I'd like to know why Golden is so hard on adding another LB when already adding Burks and having Wilson, and especially if they end up keeping Pratt for this season.
I'm anticipating a lot of 3-LB looks this year, and an emphasis in stopping the run.

He actually mentioned getting to five man fronts without needing to swap personnel which is interesting. Sounds like we are trying to get multiple which explains the picks because Stewart and Knight have versatility in where they can align.

Are 5-man fronts effective nowadays? Feels like those haven't worked when Bengals have tried in recent years.
Maybe that was just how Anarumo was doing them though.
(unless you mean 5-man front as in a predominant 3-4?)

We’ve actually had success deploying it at times the last few years. The issue though is if you have to run in new personnel to do it.

I can't recall a time off the top of my head it worked out well, but maybe it was just ran so few times as to why I can't remember it working well.
Either way, this is all a lot of change for me, and I don't like it lol.

Some of it was personnel I'm sure.

1 Campbell 2. Mike Green 3. Fairchild sounds better to me

Apparently Taylor was quoted as watching the picks before ours and worried he would go. Nobody was taking him that early. Plus we could've traded back there easily and gained an extra pick as well as gone ratledge than knight in the 3rd most likely.

I'm not a big fan of this draft. I haven't been a fan of the Bengals draft in awhile I feel like. I'm just hoping that these guys come in and kick ass. At least we're getting defensive help. I was really hoping we would get a safety with one of our top 3 picks.
Personally, I really wanted Ratledge in the 2nd and Watts in the 3rd

I think the Bengals are nailing this draft. They're getting help in three key positions. I wouldn't be surprised if they all three end up starting, or at least see heavy action. The only bad thing today was my dude, Hawkeye Kaleb Johnson, go to the squeelers.

Steelers took Harmon. Cowboys took Banks. Falcons took two great edge rushers, and Philly got Campbell.
I hate it here.
What makes you an expert ? Golden likes the 2 D Players they took early. See Bengals, com. If you hate it here so much, go root for the Steelers. That goes for the other always negatives on here. I'll take Goldens opinion on Defense over yours any day.

do you work for the bengals? people can be negative about this draft. They have more merrit to their opinions than the ones who are telling other people to act more positive. You blind optimists are terribly annoying

He gets 1 season to waste the Burrow era. I kid, but that’s what we appear to be doing.
