Day 3!
Ja'Marr Chase was a 'Grand Slam" pick and he got to reunite with his QB from LSU. When Chase was dropping passes in the 1st preseason games some ya'll were screaming "Bust". Just got to see how everyone pans out. Now, if Myles Murphy doesn't vastly improve this upcoming season he'll be the biggest 1st round "Bust" since Billy price and John Ross.'

Pat Kirwan has stated that an average of 20 rookies start in the NFL each year, not including injury replacements. I think we have at least 2 that make the starting 22 and as many as 4.

But so is every other team in the AFC north.  We didn’t out draft anyone in out division, so I think we fell farther behind.

We never do. I would think even the biggest homers could admit that we’re the worst drafting team in the division (but they won’t). The only reason the Steelers and Browns haven’t made noise in the playoffs in so long (that will be what they point to) is because they haven’t been able to find their QB’s. That’s one area you can give the Bengals credit for. They typically do well there.*

*We won’t talk about the trade up for Ryan Finley.

Like I said before, we are good at picking the flashy offensive players, that a blind man could see potential in.  It’s the other areas that they suck in the draft.

I'm not sure why you think we are so far behind the rest of the North. We lost to Baltimore by 3 twice on missed field goals, split with Pissburgh, and beat Cleveland twice with an injury devasted defense. We are NOT behind the rest of the North. I swear, the rain clouds some of you walk around under.....

Can you not read a scoreboard. Our AFCN play last year does not speak to us being behind the rest of the Division. We were 3-3, with two of the losses by missed field goals when we had an injured kicker. That puts us squarely in the middle. Realistic and perpetual negativity are not the same thing.

Kind of hard on the day after to grade teams drafts against each other. I care about 1 team and that's the Cincinnati Bengals. Coming into the draft our 2 biggest needs were IOL and Edge, we addressed both. Anyone who has followed Golden and or my thoughts on his defense is he asks a lot more of his LBs than a lot of DCs. So he also picked up 2 talented LBs to employ.

Just because another team picked players you like better, doesn't mean they drafted better.

According to NFL.COM we got:

The #5 ranked Edge

The #2 and #5 Off-ball LBs

An interior oline ranked in the top dozen

An exterior lineman ranked in the top 15 who may move inside and do better than outside projections

The only pick we took that was outside of the top 15 in their position group was the RB

So you are other can scream "homer", "Tobin fan", "silly" all you want. It's not going to change me to be depressed about it like many on here.

WHO DEY!!

ew... we missed the playoffs. The Stealers were 1 and done, and after the Ravens beat the Stealers, they lost their 2nd game. Nobody in the Division made any playoff noise.

you positive posters arent even being realistic lol its just pure fantasy and delusions. Once again, this place isnt a safe space. A lot of us arent gonna just blindly praise the team just because

Except they lost too many games at the beginning of the season when all of our DT's were injured. It takes 11 players, not 3. Nobody is asking you to blindly praise the team, but you can't even acknowledge the fact the early losses were due to Joe recovering from his wrist and the defense being depleted. No, according to you and others, we are so far behind the rest of the division we shouldn't even take the field. It's amazing that you will type negative post after negative post after negative post for everyone to read, then deny you are being negative.

nice that doesnt explain the rest of the players who were just flat out terrible due to poor player evaluations and roster constructions. But keep buying what the beat writers who work for mike brown tell you

Hint Frank, most of those horrible players from last year are no longer here. Hubbard is gone.(Only horible because he was injured) Pratt will be gone. Rankins is gone and Jenkins and McKinley now have a year of experience behind them, plus the new DT's we signed. Bell is gone. ADG is gone. The defensive roster, which was the problem last year, is not the same. DO you think Demetrius Wright is going to get carried 8-10 yds after contact like Pratt? If so, you haven't watched him play.

Lamar is 10-2 vs the Bengals. We can hang our hats on close losses all we want, but it’s not like those other teams didn’t get better. Baltimore took yet another safety in the 1st round because they’re tired of watching Chase go crazy on them. Graham, Green, and Harmon all went inside the division. And our answer at guard was a 3rd round pick and a career backup in Lucas Patrick.

LMAO what? Geno Stone? Volson? CTB took a giant step back, they still dont have a TE better than Drew Sample (that is embarassing), and Jordan Battle has shown what outside of his rookie year? Are we really expecting Myles Murphy to take a giant leap forward into becoming an average player at best? There's a giant hole at the Guard position still

But im sure all of this will fly over your head and you will spout whatever Hobson or Dehner sells you

Their drafting has been poor but it’s not like every season/player is the same as the previous year.

You also can’t dismiss the fact that the Bengals lost their starting CBs and their best LB last year so them being healthy will improve the defense. They weren’t great with them but they definitely raise the talent level of the defense. They also have a true run stopping tackle and more young talent at LB that should help them improve vs the run.

I am not blown away by the draft but the Bengals should be better at guard and they have a set of skill position players that almost every other team would love to have.

This makes no sense. How do Chase go crazy on them with our bad guards a year ago? You think a rookie safety is going to stop Chase??? Really?

I agree with Lamar, my dream is he breaks the pocket and does realize Stewart is extremely fast and he chases him down from behind and face plants his rear end and he starts rehabbing for 2026.

I have a proposition for your Frank. Let's make a bet, we can have someone hold the bet in Venmo.

I propose a freindly wager of $500.

The starting point is 9-8 as that is record of team last 2 years. You keep saying we have the same team or worse. Time to put up something tangible.

Bengals get 9 or more wins in 2025, no winner and money returned.

Bengals win 10 games or more, I win and you lose. Bengals win 8 games or lose you win and I lose

Please put your money where your mouth is, you have the better odds since you claim the team had a horrible off seaason and be worse than 9-8 in 2025.

It will end all the BS and prove who was right.
