Oh really..in addition to numerous defensive starters we also were playing without our 2 starting offensive tackles..its not the numbers...and I dont know where you get a 15... but its who was injured..but you have fun...heres my prediction...stewart will be signed..he will add greatly to our defense...and if burrow and other key players on the team stay healthy its gonna be a very good year

OTAs and minicamp is nothing more than an acclimation period...stewart is there...the real work begins in summer training camp and he will be signed by then

We are a complete joke. And deservedly so.
I would imagine that 99% of the players in the nfl would love to be on the same team with burrow and company.....now cleveland with 1600 players trying to be their starting QB..after the watson fiasco....that organiztion truly is a joke

This is no different then an injured first round pick missing the spring due to injury (but being in meetings).
They never rebound to start the season productive. We should know that better than any fanbase.

They are trying to institute new contract language for first round players that has not been used before. At one time this organization were innovators such as the Sugar and no huddle offenses. Paul was an innovator in the game using game tapes and he was the first to recognize using radios to communicate plays to the field as well as many other new concepts. All we have now is a money loving organizational they want to do is pinch pennies and be a laughing stalking. Maybe you should had never drafted Shamar if you don’t think he will be good enough to payout the guaranteed money like u did in the prior years. What a joke of an organization if u can’t afford the going rate to the market maybe you should sell the damn team.
That Brown family brought nfl footbal to cincinnati and even after being offered a zillion bucks to move to baltimore...kept the team here...and the bengals...even with significant injuries to many key players the last 4 years has done very well

Why would they even allow him to speak with the media while not under contract. They should have shielded him from these questions knowing that the media was looking for a story. Not hard to do, they shielded Burton for months....

I have no idea what the hold up is, but I do wonder who his agent is as well. Maybe 100% Bengals fault or maybe Stewart and his agents fault or maybe both sides at fault.
It is hard to know, but too easy to always blame the Bengals FO without the facts in hand.
Well the one reporter early on asked him "if he has any indication why the Bengals are using this year and him to set a new precedent". So it seems they are trying to implement something new.

The Bengals front office is such a shit show ran by clowns. I agree with Stewart about the front office attitudes about winning and it isn’t on the field.

They drafted 2/3 of the greatest college offense of all time. I hope all 4 of our scouts got a hefty raise!

i do think we have struggled with 1st round picks on oline but we never seem to compare to other teams,... for example here are some the steeler picks past 6 years, i think only one was offered a 2nd contract
2018 Terrell Edmunds
2019 Devin Bush
2021 Najee Harris
2022Kenny Pickett
2023Broderick Jones
2024 Troy Fautanu
not a great result, i think only one 1st round pick was offered a 2nd contract

Why are we looking at the Steelers as the benchmark? They’ve been mired in mediocrity for almost a decade now.
The Ravens are by far the best drafting team in the division. They recently hit on two 1st round picks in the same year with Kyle Hamilton and Tyler Linderbaum. Both studs.
Nate Wiggins and Zay Flowers are also both good players as well.

That latest interview sound like Shemar has confidence in himself if front office would get their act together we may have a fierce pass rush to complement our dynamic offense

The Bengals problem now is that their stars arent on rookie contracts any more. That's kind of a cheat code to compete.
Now there's a premium on drafting and developing players.
We're not the worst at it. But, we're not the best either.
They also hung onto guys like Hubbard who declined too long.

He was a poor draft choice. He has done nothing in the NFL and honestly even if he does get what he wants and plays he’s going to be a bust. Nothing about his tape tells me otherwise. Mostly venting here.
