Is change coming, finally, to our TC and Preseason plan?
#21
The part of preseason that bugs me is the 14 days between the last preseason game and opening day. If PT is going to be increased for those games, they might need to do some kind of non-tackling simulated game the weekend before the opener or all that manufactured "momentum" is wasted.

The key to the start of the season is to try and get back in that regular season routine as quickly as possible.

I don't know. Maybe i'm blowing it out of proportion. Three straight weeks of prepping for game day followed by a preseason 'bye' before the start might be enough if they're getting more snaps in the actual preseason games.

I agree, waiting for week 1 two weeks later stinks. The only thing I can come up for having it that way, could be to give all the TC and PS dings time to get healed... IDK

Zac has had the philosophy to have lighter OTA’s and preseason. He believed in pacing. Ted Karras raved about it his first few years. And the strong finishes seemed to verify its strategy. But now they have to address the early season. You can’t whitewash it. You flat out can’t spin it. Oh sure Joe had his wrist and others things plus Chase’s holdout. But too much sample size. Hopefully they get it fixed. JMO with no inside info but I think they they held too much back scheme wise.. It backfired as frankly if they’d won more early games in ‘23 even  with Browning and again for sure last year the fan unrest would be different.

I think they fix it. But the defense settling in could be an issue.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I like Zac Taylor..But if this team does not perform better early on and it prevents us from making the playoffs...I think Zac will be gone

If there are no obvious factors I’d agree.
