That's funny that some of you actually think that the Bengals are playing the Browns next Saturday, all because one poster had a brain fart and forgot that we were playing at Washington.

Not sure any posters other than OP referenced playing the Browns next preseason game. But it is worth pointing out that the Commanders game is not on Saturday, but will be a Monday Night game. Which makes it tough because the third preseason game is the following Saturday -- just 5 days later.

No, another poster inadvertently posted about playing the Browns next, earlier today. Evidently, some could not figure out that it was a mistake, as many have been continually posting Browns clips in JN threads all day.

I don’t think it will be too tough because the starters are going to play even more vs Washington but then I don’t think any of them will play at all in the last PS game. I would expect to see all of the locked in starters in street clothes. That will be for all of the back ups to show what they can do.
As long as they get the starters out of the Monday night game healthy then they should be OK with a good rest before week 1.

Uh, where did I mention anything about them playing the Browns next Saturday? Made a joke about the Browns. I know it is Washington the Bengals play...I live in Maryland. We have been talking about the game. You quote wrong or something?

Shaduer Sanders is not a mobile QB that can run, he'sa pocket passer with good accuracy. He's likely less athletic and slower than Burrow although neither ran the 40 at the combine. Sanders had a career -127 yards rushing throughout his time at Colorado. That is not a typo. Burrow had almost 800 in his two years ar LSU.

Browns defense significantly better than ours. So much better that they are probably favored in our first game of the year?

Anyone can score on the bengals D.

That’s what I’m worried about. We scored 14 quick points against 2nd team defense, and all 1st defense couldn’t stop 2nd team offense.

Yea, but he extend the play, and that’s a problem for a defense that can’t guard receivers for any period of time.

Significant is an under statement.  They will probably finish in top 5 and we will probably finish in bottom 5.

Browns defense ranked 19th (bottom half) of the league in 2024. Why do you say they will be top 5 defense?

Bengals were ranked 25th.

that's a good thing, how many times have we played newbie QBs only to be lit on the field, even if Sanders turns out to be the next Tom Brady, I just hope it happens with the ravens or squeelers, first.

Uh, we swept them last year, and our offense is significantly better this year.

My mistake I was thinking 2023 where Browns were 1st in defense, but I was not far off from the Bengals being in bottom 5.  27th would have been bottom five.

I still do believe the Browns will have a better defense
