I think he has a chance to be a better pro player than Foster. Ive been singing his praises for awhile and really the combine just confirmed him as the player I thought he was. The guy has played safety, corner back, linebacker, and defensive end. Probably the best coverage line backer in this draft and really a guy that can play at LOLB or ILB

Yeah I don't know how to quantify this, but what I like most about the guy is the way he carries himself. He just reeks of confidence in both interviews and the way he acts on the field. It's one of those intangible qualities that I rarely see, but someone most superstars have it.
I am just not sure he is a great fit in a 4-3. I think he will work well inside in a 3-4, but in a 4-3 he is probably only a Will. We haven't shown interest in moving Burfict back to MLB, so I'd say 9 is way to early to consider him. Could be a good player, but jsut not sure he fits here.

I personally think this guy has the talent and skills to play anywhere at LB. I always felt Burfict would make the perfect ILB

Reading a scouting report where he would be good as a 4-3 WILL linebacker or a 3-4 inside linebacker.

The reason he is a better 3-4 guy or Will in a 4-3 is he is kind of small to take on blockers as a 4-3 inside guy. That is where I see him more so is inside in a 3-4, but someone may take him as a 4-3 Will but that won't be in the first round (too early for a 4-3 Will).

He was a walk on as a cornerback originally at temple.

If you have watched game tape you'd see he can play small and get eaten up by blockers at times. When engaged in the running game he has issues stacking and shedding. He will be good, but I just don't see him excelling in a 4-3 at MLB, #9 is far too early to take a 4-3 Will. I think he fits better in a 3-4 because he could possibly play inside, but also move outside for position diversity and play as an edge rusher.
I wouldn't get your hopes up. If there's one thing that free agency is telling me (and the previous drafts) is that the Bengals value linebackers very little.
Think about it - our starters are a 3rd round pick, an undrafted free agent and our backups are a bunch of guys that have been drafted later in the draft to fill specific roles (coverage etc.)
With our base being a nickel, I'm guessing the Bengals are hoping they can sign Minter or Robinson on the cheap and then draft a few guys in the 5--7 rounds.

If Minter or Robinson are signed then there is a less of a need for drafting a linebacker in the first couple of rounds.
