Hmmm...
Can we keep Hill since Bernard likely is not close to 100% until November at the earliest. I see Hill bouncing bck too which would be awesome
2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

Not with Gio's injury. He won't be 100% this season, but he'll still have some splash plays.
Use Mixon and Gio to move up the field, and have a fresh Hill to bang it in short yardage situations. Hill still has the opportunity to bust a 3rd and short for a 60 yard TD with fresh legs.

The Bengals wouldn't get any credit by passing on Mixon. The minds of the majority are already made up on Cincy, especially if we continue to employ guys like Adam Jones and Marvin Lewis is in charge. Take the best player and they did just that.

I'm over what he did.
I just wish all the pundits would say "If the character risk is there, the Bengals will absolutely take them, because the Bengals don't give a **** about character issues."
...And then we decide not to put talent above PR and pass on them too. That would be refreshing.

Part of the mentality of the team is bargain hunting and feeling they can rehabilitate troubled players. And really they do seem to succeed more often than they fail - only time will tell.
You nailed it....bargain hunting. **** them.

You're right. We may not have Bernard and we lost Burkhead, so Hill's staying. I just hope they don't start Hill if Mixon is better.

Hill will be cheap depth for a year and net a 5-6th round comp when he signs elsewhere.

Half of the NFL would do the same.

Agreed doesn't matter what the team does they are painted as criminals. If they believe the guy deserves a second chance after their meetings with him and extensive research then pull the trigger. There's no bonus points for passing up on him.
I'd bet that Cook will be in trouble before Mixon anyways.

Of course, open handed slap from a 100lb girl will tend to do that.
Besides, that's even more reason to not take him. A shitbag AND is constantly scared. How will he take a hit from an NFL linebacker?
I can't even tell if you're just trolling now, Beaker. This is more what I would expect from Fred.
