People really need to realize when Sensitive stuff shouldn't be posted on Facebook! I have seen it a few times where people post about a death on Facebook before the family of the party is contacted. Social media can be bad in these ways. You guys ever see this crap on Facebook or other things that drive you nuts?
I have an account, but I don't ever go there. It's unbelievable what people will write for the whole world to see. Lucky for them the whole world isn't as obsessed with them as they think and generally don't pay attention.

Someone said this to me a couple of years ago. "People still use Facebook? Check out Google+". We'll that didn't work out too well.
If you're going to use social networking, it's by far the best. I understand people's obsession with Twitter, but never got big on it myself. Right now, I'm a much lessened Facebook used and that's the only social networking that I'm active on.

I think both are useful. Facebook is easier to keep in touch with family and friends but Twitter is better for getting information.
I check my account once or twice a month. Like I imgaine your accounts are, it's always chocked full of crap I could have lived quite happily without ever having known. I wanted to quit entirely, but the wife said I'll want it when the grandkids start coming along. Not sure how I'll ever actually get grandkids with what appears to be four kids who seem to spend every second of their waking hours doing nothing but documenting their lives.
I regrettably use it to sell stuff locally and that's it. When people started taking it too seriously and expected me to be on everyday I lost interest. Actually had someone accuse me of not wishing them a happy birthday on purpose when I just simply didn't login that day.

I honestly can't think of one person that I know (in real life) that doesn't use it.
Never signed up, never will. So many people try to sell me on it with "Oh, you can find old friends you lost track of". If I wanted to keep track of them, I wouldn't have lost track of them in the first place!
Also I get a lot of "you would have heard about ... if you were on Facebook." Your telling me about it right now, so I did hear about it, and without using Facebook. Instead, I heard about it via actual voice communication with an actual close friend.
