Hes not that beastly, but he kind of reminds me of a free agent i wanted to pick up last year but we passed on,connor barwin from cincinnati, whos had a decent career.

He is one of the best pass rushers of this generation, but L.T. was a linebacker and had 132 sacks and in a different Era where there werent so many average QB's throwing 50 times a game. Can you imagine L.T. in a division with two games a year against Jax, and Tennessee and even Indy post Manning? I think he would have been even more dominant. I guess you could go both ways and say that a physical specimen like Watt would have wreaked havoc on the 80's but I still say L.T. is better. BTW....Ray Lewis is the best defensive player ever.

Watt has been brilliant, but LT not only revolutionized the position in which he played and defense as a whole, but ALSO revolutionized the position (Left Tackle) that had the responsibility to block him. He changed the entire game of football more than any defensive player ever has, or ever will.

How many Defensive lineman cared about pass breakups before Watt came in the game?

Dude...Lawrence Taylor is the greatest defender in NFL History. There is no arguement against it. It is known and widely agreed on fact. Right now you could argue that Khalil Mack is as good as JJ Watt.

Lott, LT, and Reggie are my top 3. Watt was on pace to be in this group but availability is an ability. An important one.
Lott was a four time All Pro at Corner before he switched to become the best Safety ever. Didn't have the glory stat of sacking the QB like Reggie and LT, but I'm inclined to put him at #1. Possible that those three being stars of my youth make me biased. Citing Watt's injuries isn't bias though.

Hubbard reminds guys of JJ Watt and Bates reminds them of Ed Reed.
We have anybody on this team who isn't a HOF'er? ?

Name the other players with that have two seasons with 20 sacks. And Lawrence Taylor had 20 sacks in the 80s when they ran the ball more often than throw. Sacks are going to be a more common stat going forward with how the NFL is changing. Justin Houston had 22 sacks one season more than JJ Watt and Lawrence Taylor ever did in a single season. Does that even out him in the same catagory? Nope. Stats do no win that arguement.

If we are going with white on white comparisons, he reminds me more of Kerrigan from the Redskins.
