Training Camp: News, Notes & Updates

I think Driskel-Finley face off will be determined by the 4th preseason game.  Finley has picked it up some since OTAs.  It will be interesting.

It may be a bit cutthroat, but if Andy goes down they need to see if Finley or even Dolegala is a potential replacement.  Driskell isn't a long term answer.  If they don't pan out, hopefully you can get a QB in the 1st.

For sure.  Anderson is a bad dude.  He's silky smooth, with great feet, outstanding balance and body control and the hands of a wideout.

He isnt good

He plays a position they have younger, cheaper options

And he’s expensive and his money can go to glaring needs

Very simple

He fell off the turnip truck and bumped his head. He has no idea as to which OT to bring in or where we'd even find one right now. if there were a decent OT sitting on his couch out there this team would have already brought him in and cut one of the lessor guys. He also wants AJ gone, but has no idea who would replace him.

Sure, NE should replace Tom Brady with Joe Flacco.

No. it's not simple.  Had you said "Trade Gio!", I would have just rolled my eyes and moved on.  But suggesting cutting Gio, when your "younger, cheaper options" are rookies (one of whom has a history of season ending injuries), is moronic.  They aren't going to bring in Ryan Schraeder anyway, so your post is pointless.  But looking at your post history, that's par for the course.

Yes he is.  Just look at the two games he started while Mixon was out.  182 yards from scrimmage, 3 tds, 4.8 avg per carry, 9 receptions.

No proof that any of the rookie RBs will produce like that, and Mixon has never played a complete NFL season.

No way we should release Gio.

I pray our FO would not consider cutting Gio. A 2nd round pick who has been productive when healthy who would command a trade partner if we did want to move on. You say be smart, and then say cut a guy you could get something back in return via trade.

As far as OT, smart guy what OT would you sign and bring in right now to upgrade our OT position?

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

Duke Johnson just got traded for a conditional 4th that could become a 3rd with playing time. I think that is about what the market for Gio would be.

Frostburg guy Sad

Too bad. Was pulling for him, but with our current depth, he was the longest of longshots to make the team.

This is what I want to know as well. Haven't heard anything about Wren.

I know he is raw but it would be nice to hear something?
