Trey Hopkins
#1
Further proof the Bengals have finally found a good Center and need to get him locked up for a few more years...
Quote:Trey Hopkins has been a bright spot for the #Bengals O-line this season.

The veteran has produced a 69.8 overall grade (7th among Centers) and a 69.7 run-blocking grade (2nd).

In 239 pass-blocking snaps, Hopkins has allowed just 8 total pressures, resulting in only one sack.

Get this guy extended ASAP!
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Yes sir. One of the few bright spots. Get Hopkins locked up and use Price more next to either side of him and I think the Line
will improve. Miller makes one good run block a game early maybe and then falls off a cliff the rest of the game. I don't think
he has any stamina. We figured Jordan would have set backs as a rookie which he has especially on penalties but not ready to
give up on him yet.

When Jonah comes back and if we draft a Lineman early and get a good one in FA we might not be that bad. We will see...

But I definitely have been impressed by Hopkins this season big time.

That says a lot because the lack of chemistry and problems at guard and he still is doing well.  I still think the LOS needs more push.

I was honestly surprised Trey Hop has that high of a run blocking grade.

Especially with these Guards on both sides of him, namely Miller. Says even more about Trey Hop's play.

Put Price in at RG please. Leave Jordan at LG and let him learn. Jerry actually had a very good game against Chandler Jones.

Jerry has looked decent or average for LT off the bench type.  I was surprised.

I seriously do not know what happened to Price.  He was a bull and the ONLY Bengal getting any push at LOS.  Yet, he looks lost as hell and his pass-pro has regressed under Turner.

1.) He should have been playing along time ago.
2.) He is a must keep.
3.)Makes the Price pick that much worse.
4.) When we move Price back to C after this season this board is going to explode.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Absolutely...he made a marked improvement last year to be honest and he earned that starting sport.

He has been night and day vs. the year before when he was at guard and was pretty poor at times.

If the team has success next year and a winning record he might have an outside shot at pro bowl

Hopkins is proof you don't have to draft a C in the 1st RD to find
Your C.
Great job Tobin yet blowing another 1st Rd pick

I can't get the picture out of my head of Price in the last minute or so of the Steelers game where at the snap he just started back peddling and looking down at the ground. He was at LG I believe and the Steeler Dlineman just went right by him and whacked Dalton ! Price was still back peddling arms slightly extended like he had no idea what to do and couldn't think of anything to try.

It's like is this your first football game at Olineman Price ?  Cool

Price was a horrible freaking pick. Lions screwed us by grabbing Ragnow.

Of course, I assume that - Billy is a Buckeye, after all. He may have been the pick even if Ragnow was still on the board.

When Ragnow was stolen, we should have pivoted to the next best player on our board. Instead we took a 3rd/4th round talent because he fit a positional need that we didn't even really have.

Viva Duke Tobin.

Between that, getting knocked on his ass at Indy, and just flat out getting TRUCKED against SF, I shudder at the thought of him on the QBs blindside.

In all seriousness, he has graded better than MJ, albeit in limited action, might as well damn the torpedos!

Ragnow rated best C in the league right now.

Damn Lions! I feel the fool for wanting Billy Price over Frank Ragnow now.
