Don’t look now but Dolphins are up vs the Jets

Tomlin and company are actually good coaches. In Pittsburgh, he gets blamed for everything.

So we know the Bengals are bad this year. But, the good coaching staffs analyze our weaknesses...on defense they use misdirection and run outside on us and adjust their gameplan accordingly. Other teams just know they'll beat us so they use their same gameplan.

The Steelers installed Wildcat just for us.

The Steelers have had injury share too too. Shazier is an obvious one several years ago, but they traded up to address that. Brown gone. Bell gone. That's 3 stars.

Take their win today:
Roethlisberger was out.
Conner was out.
Tuitt is out for the year.

At parts of the year, they were playing without Mason Rudolph. They traded their 3rd string QB...so they were down to 4th String QB.

We hear about the Bengals Tackle situation...but the Steelers played with a 4th string QB for several weeks...and WON some!

Yet here...we get a couple injuries and it's a license to go 0-8.

Your wind just changed direction.

Directly to your point, the Steelers have an elite Oline and a good defense that's holding teams to 21 pts a game. Their oline is opening holes for whoever runs the ball and they can protect the QB well enough to have him be Captain checkdown and still win close games. That's how they're winning with those guys.

The Bengals are plenty bad enough in plenty of different ways. You don't need to invent scenarios where they would also be bad, if they weren't hypothetical.

I'm more making the point that some people (not you) think that losing a couple players is enough to derail the season.

We've cited plenty of examples on the board of teams dealing with major injuries that still win. The Steelers are one such example.

Interestingly, the Steelers kept DeCastro while the Bengals passed on him in the draft and took Zeitler then let him go.

I guess it's all about what position groups teams value...but the Steelers draft well too.

Their trade for Fitzpatrick looks great too. At 4-4, it's not like they traded a Top 5 pick now. They ended up likely winning that trade.

Yeah. It's not even fair to compare the two. Pitts front office is playing 4D chess and the Bengals are picking sticks out of the mud.

The 49ers beat The Rams in LA with their 4th and 5th offensive tackles.

Tomlin is a great coach.

Most coach's won't be 4-4 after they lost all their talent.

Man, you are taking your bullshit skills to a new level.

Roethlisberger and Mason have started 7 games.  So please list the "several weeks" that the Steelers played with a 4th string QB.  And exactly how many are the "some" that they won?

And the Bengals have only had "a couple" of injuries?

Hilarious

You crack me up.
