Looks like it's going to be OSU vs LSU in the Bayou. I wonder if I should buy tickets.

I hope tonight's game silences all the "trade the #1 pick" nonsense. Burrow is a monster. He can and will be our franchise QB to take us to the promised land.

Having a bunch of early picks when your team doesn't use free agency, and is more than a guy away from competing is far from nonsense...
If Burrow is the guy, so be it... I hope he's the Second Coming of Rogers, Brees, or Marino. Coincidentally; none of those guys were the number one pick going to a really bad team.
I don't care about being right. If he's the pick I hope he makes me sound foolish for doubting his impact to this lackluster roster. I'm just of the opinion they should try and build a solid foundation before the QB of the future gets here.

I hate that read option offense with a QB like Trevor Lawrence.

I'm trying to figure out if Burrow is really as godlike as he looked tonight or Oklahoma just sucks that bad on defense. Probably both.

Then maybe we could hope he's the second coming of Peyton Manning, Troy Aikman, or John Elway.
All 1st overall picks that took over bad teams.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

Rivera has coached nine years and had six wins or less in five of them. He isn't that good of a coach or someone would have snatched him up by now. I f he even considered working for MB that should throw up red flags. The only way we get a coach is to develop him. Who wants a has been coach who only comes here is because he can't get hired anywhere else. Marvin 3.0

Lawrence is a very very good QB and learns quickly. The read option offense hurts him more than helps and I would like to see how he process post snap but his receivers have been so good he usually doesnt have too.

I don't care how much of a Chase Young or Andy Dalton fan you are, there is no way you should be convinced that Burrow isn't #1 pick material.
It's like when teams convinced themselves that Deshaun Watson wouldn't be anything cause he played on a championship team, Mahomes wouldn't be good cause he played in an air raid for Texas Tech, or Lamar wouldn't be able to develop into a passer despite showing plenty of flashes he could pass in college.
Do not overthink it. Burrow is the real deal. It's all about if the Bengals realized that their way of doing things resulted in a 1-15/2-14 season and it's going to take 2 seasons of good drafting AND signing quality FAs to turn this team around. Hell, even one year if they're really serious.
