I thought they definitely tried this time.
Good effort... Now they need to make it pay off. I never thought we were 10 new starters away like some people. The roster needed tweaked, need better coaching, and better development. I expect results this year. 8-8 and competitive at minimum.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

Feel the same, then I will start buying Bengal gear again and probably a Burrow jersey.

Because his number is 10 and he didn't wear that at LSU.
Maybe he goes a different direction, you just never know.

I stopped buying NFL jerseys in 2005 after a Rudi Johnson purchase. I still buy soccer jerseys because you are actually supporting a club vs supporting a league.
It’s been years since I have read the breakdown but the CBA makes the money dispersal look something like this. Let’s say that a jersey costs $100 just to make the breakdown dollars instead of percentage points.
A $100 Joe Burrow Cincinnati Bengals jersey
$4 goes to Joe Burrow
$5 goes to the Bengals
$31 goes to the other 31 teams
$25 goes to Roger Goodell and the NFL
$35 goes to Under Armour or Nike or whoever has the contract to make jerseys.
A soccer breakdown of a $100 jersey
$10 to the player IF the jersey has a player’s name on it
$70 goes to the club
$20-30 goes to whatever company makes the jerseys, this is negotiated by each individual club, not the league.
That is why soccer fans are called supporters and not just referred to as fans. For every five dollars that you put into your favorite team, you are putting three dollars into the coffers of your three division rivals. That’s the NFL. Straight up socialism and profit sharing.

I hate Nike jerseys. I'm a fat guy and they are too tight. I like the old Reebok jerseys

While the old Reebok jerseys are indeed my favourite (they may even POSSIBLY be my favourite jersey outright, but I still love an on-field Majestic baseball jersey <3), the Nike ones fit GREAT.
While not obese, I too am a fat guy and my Dunlap fits me perfectly, at size 48 (my Whitworth Reebok is a 50). I mean, the fit of it, is just awesome, so nice

Had a friend buy me a Carson Palmer #9 jersey several years back for Christmas. Must have got it cheaper because it was not a current player and nobody wants a Palmer jersey.. The jersey has been in my closet almost since I got it. Then several months back when it was fairly obvious Joe Burrow was going to be the pick I put the Burrow name over Palmer with vinyl (I have a vinyl cutter). I wanted to wait until it was for sure to print out Burrow and heat press it on (I have a vinyl printer and can print on iron on material). Tomorrow I will be sporting a new Reebok #9 Burrow Jersey if he stays with #9.

It's nice seeing them make moves, but it's been said that you can't buy a championship.
Maybe they can buy a playoff win and I'll be back on board.

So now I am just back to the Corey Dillon jersey and I will stay that way after killing 2 Bengals careers in 2 years.

Sure hope for your brand new jersey's sake that the Dolphins don't blow away the Bengals with a trade offer on Thursday. Or that Mike Brown gets another Ryan Mallett urge and this time there's nobody to talk him out of it.
If you're into jerseys, classic ones are always the best because they'll never look stupid because the player got cut/traded/etc.
That said, if you go modern, it's always best to get a franchise player you know isn't going anywhere for several years. Right now, Burrow and Boyd would be safe bets. AJ Green will also wind up being a classic, so that's pretty safe as well.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

DHgate.com, someone mentioned it in another thread a few weeks back. Also the official site used to let you make your own custom jersey with Burrow on the back until I think about a month ago.

I feel ya. I have two Bengals jerseys hanging in my closet that I cannot currently wear. They're tight on me like a sausage casing. Maybe they'll fit someday.

You mean like a Pro Bowl Franchise QB who was on a 10yr/$120-ish million contract?

Soccer jerseys are hideous. If the NFL or NHL ever starts putting advertising on their jerseys I’ll be done buying them.

Said he thought about 10 but it’s 9.
