I just thought it'd be fun to see the pace Dalton's stats are on after each week. I think it'd be interesting to compare the pace he's on to where he'll eventually end up.
My plan is to update this post after every game with the new pace he's on.
For the record, I'm not saying this means anything. I just think the final comparison will be interesting.

I'm pretty sure they made a "{The Ultimate 'ALL THINGS ANDY DALTON' Mega Thread}" for things exactly like this.
Just sayin'.

Maybe, but it'll be harder to find and update this information if it's merged, hence why I didn't include it in the mega thread.
Now, it's time for me to mosey on over to the other Dalton threads that aren't in the mega thread to make sure you've posted this same post in them, as well.

This is obviously the best 6 game stretch of any average QB in NFL history
I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

The projections are starting to stabilize now. I'm sure he'll still have at least 1-2 rough games, but I like the direction we're headed in.

Random tidbit that I found interesting.
Andy could end the season averaging 15 completions to 30 attempts for 225 yards in each game, and then compile only 13 TDs to 13 INTs over these last 10 games and still end up with a career high passer rating of 88.9.
Basically, there has to be a colossal meltdown for him to not have his best statistical season as a professional.

Updated to reflect today's stats.
I'm thinking about doing it after "next" week's game and then revisiting this thread after the season to see where his final stats stack up.

These numbers are impressive for any NFL QB
AD is playing great. The defense is paying better.
The half time adjustments by both Paul and Hue were awesome against the Browns.
I have no idea what happens in the playoffs, but this team is proving each week there are not just a playoff team, they are a team capable of more than just winning a playoff game. Enjoy the journey, I know I am.

Andy's current passer rating of 111.0 would be the 11th best in NFL history. But it has to be noted that 6 of the top 11 best single-season passer rating have been posted in just the last 3 years.

I remember when Steve Young posted a 112.8 back in 1994, breaking Joe Montana's record of 112.4 set in 1988. Back then, ratings over 100 were rare.
Obviously passing gets easier almost every year, but 111.0 is still special.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

While it's not what it used to be, as you said, it's still special.
Having a 100+ passer rating is still an indication that the QB in question had a great season. There's a reason there aren't 15 guys hitting 100+ each season, but yeah, it's not quite what it used to be.

its the way it goes like 1000 yard seasons arent as special for running backs anymore.
