Hobson and Lap have both said XSF is likely to be a starter next year and I don’t know anybody that has better insider info than those two. Lap also said he doesn’t think they’ll be signing a top tier OG because they have XSF, smh.

If XSF ends up being a de-facto starter, I won't be happy.
Dude has been a decent pass blocker but is terrible as a run blocker.
He's never had a 70+ PFF rating as a run blocker. His best seasons came in 2015 and 2016 with scores in the mid-60's.
2017-2020 here were his run-blocking scores:
2017 (427 run snaps) - 51.2
2018 (209 run snaps) - 42.3
2019 (110 run snaps) - 48.6
2020 (138 run snaps) - 52.1

He would easily be the worst run blocker on the OL.

At minimum, they should draft a G in Rd 2-3 to compete with XSF.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: 3-5 so far. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

I would like to see Sam Hubbard bulk up to 280 285 to play that 43 string side end or 34 5tech role while sliding inside to pressure the QB. Hubbard had his best pass rusher snaps inside to Dunlap's 34 LB.

That's probably his best role TBH. He's not really an elite outside pass rusher. Probably never will be.
So the Bengals should extend Lawson and then draft a better outside pass rusher to go along with Hubbard.
