After 30 plus years of failure, I'm not willing to give them the benefit of the doubt or wait around.

They completely botched this and anyone with half a brain can see that.

There are several G's left in FA that graded out where Zeitler did last year and a good bit better than the garbage we trotted out there last year, not to mention a number of good T's.

They're currently in discussions with an edge rusher with the same number of sacks in 4 years as Lawson and doesn't have the injury concerns.

When all the good OL and edge rushers have been snapped up and we haven't signed any, then I'll get salty about it.

Okay this thread is 199% off the rails from its intention. Admittedly I've had fun going a bit back and forth with some of you here and arguing among fans. But I'm tired and maybe a little drunk. When I am more active here in arguments that is usually the case. When I disagree and argue it is nothing personal. I think most of us want our favorite team to be the best it can. Unfortunately it often seems to not work out that way. So I'm out of this thread. I hope maybe the Bengals end up signing some decent players and have a great year. I guess after the next few weeks when most free agents are signed we can look forward to the draft. After that more arguing... The 2021 regular season can not come soon enough.

Even though I don't agree with some you are all cool by me. It's just football talk about my favorite team after all. So nothing serious.

I'm hoping Larry Warford and Reiff or possibly Mitchell Schwartz if they get him medically cleared.

Super underwhelming. He's a 'week into free agency' signing.

At this point, this is about all I can hope for:
Larry Warford, Gabe Jackson, or Trai Turner
Rick Wagner
Josh Reynolds or Chris Conley
Solomon Thomas
Trey Hendrickson
AJ Bouye

But they probably can’t accomplish that without cuts.

Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Fixed it for you.

Geez, I'd better double up on my vitamins if we are reduced to hoping Paul Brown's great great grandkids break the curse.  Then again, I've heard talent sometimes skips 3 generations.

Can we at least sign WJ3? We now have glaring holes at G, T, WR, and DE. Might be nice to not have to add CB to that list.

And don't forget the RoH that won't ever be populated with any players post '15.

How are the two teams that were in the Super Bowl and are ball hair tight against the cap finding ways to upgrade while this one sits here with it's future posting rehab videos and 42 mil under the cap doing jack shit?

It's like good players prefer to play to good teams when given the chance.

The Chargers won 7 games last year, yet they’ve now added 2 of the better OL options. I’m sure we could have got to 7 wins had Burrow got a shot at the rest of the NFC East.

I heard CJ Bouye was in town, that guy that was a decent CB once. There's always a cheaper option.

There is one T that is really good in Trent Williams and there is no talk of the Bengals reaching out to him at all.

Schwartz is highly rated but may retire due to injury.

Okung, another guy who 5 years ago was awesome, now he is an injury concern.

At Guard you have...

Gabe Jackson who was cut by the Raiders and had a horrible season last year.

Kyle Long coming out of retirement (That is a Bengal like signing)

Trai Turner dealing with injuries...

Do you see the trend? These are the scraps that other teams are passing over but good enough for Mikey.

Adding Hendrickson is not a big deal when you let Lawson walk, it literally is a lateral move. Laterally moves do NOT improve the roster.

Adding Hendrickson and re-signing Lawson would have been exciting.

He wanted out mid-season and is talking with Houston.

According to Goodberry, WJII is 100% gone.

The real sign of decline of this franchise is right here.  We went from "shoulda won it all, if QB doesn't get injured" in 2005 and 2015 to "shoulda won 7 games is QB doesn't get injured" today.

Even our fantasies are dying.

Whatever.
I don't care.
I didn't want us to win anyway.
*sniffle*
At this point what's the point of playing Joe in 21? Not that I think he will get hurt but I don't want to see a couple of fluke wins cost us the #1 pick. The best thing we can do is go all in on the draft and get as many picks as we can for the next two seasons. This feels like another lost season like 08 and 2017. There is no hope in 21!

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Then you have the misses on O line, not the Thuney’s but more so like Feiller who just went to the Chargers. This is pretty much worst case right now.

I would expect nothing less!

Hendrickson put up those sacks while playing across from Cam Jordan. I wouldn’t expect similar sack totals if he signs here. He and Hubbard would be arguably the worst DE combo in the league.
Through 2023

Mike Brown’s Owner/GM record: 32 years  223-303-4  .419 winning pct.
Playoff Record:  5-9, .357 winning pct.
Zac Taylor coaching record, reg. season:  37-44-1. .455 winning pct.
Playoff Record: 5-2, .714 winning pct.
My wife just said that the 3 day old popcorn from the cinema was pretty good. I now see the parallels between this event and how Mike Brown views free agency.
