Chase has his man beat straight down the middle. Chase Brown is wide open on the right flat with room to run. Yeah, I think being gun shy and also running from the pocket are going hand in hand, no pun intended. He did this last year too, when he's hurt he's afraid to get hit. The fear of getting hit leads to being gun shy, he doesn't stand in the pocket. RE: RIP Burrow Era - Sled21 - 09-11-2024 (09-11-2024, 10:14 AM)casear2727 Wrote: Like this? What is he doing? Looks to me like dude is step for step with Chase.... Burrow ran again. ![]() RE: RIP Burrow Era - RegularGuy22 - 09-11-2024 Wow Casear, that screen shot is revealing, exactly what is Joe thinking, 2 targets wide open, well Chase isn't but a typical throw from Joe and chase is off to the endzone. Brown has 10 yards to run before a Pat defender gets to him... ![]() RE: RIP Burrow Era - casear2727 - 09-11-2024 (09-11-2024, 10:20 AM)RegularGuy22 Wrote: Wow Casear, that screen shot is revealing, exactly what is Joe thinking, 2 targets wide open, well Chase isn't but a typical throw from Joe and chase is off to the endzone. And another, Yoshi is open, Burrow looking at him, doesnt throw and takes a sack. ![]() RE: RIP Burrow Era - Sled21 - 09-11-2024 I think a lot of it may be Burrow got used to throwing to Tee in camp, and all of a sudden he's not there. RE: RIP Burrow Era - RegularGuy22 - 09-11-2024 When they watch this game film the coaches gotta be asking Joe after they stop the film, "Joe, why didn't you throw it at that point?" That shows a pretty decent pocket for him. I don't get it. RE: RIP Burrow Era - Timanky12 - 09-11-2024 Burrow’s field of view is just not there. Some receivers were open and he just didn’t see them or he knew he couldn’t complete the pass, because of his wrist. Either way, preseason would have worked out those kinks. But, Yoshi, Brown and Chase are open targets in Caesar's shots there? These 3 are capable receivers, no? Thats cutting him a lot of slack. No doubt Tee would have helped, and in my opinion Tee is his go to safety blanket most of the time. But he looked like a totally different player. He was panicking, dropping his eyes immediately, it is rough watching the all 22. It doesnt seem to be a physical limitation, hopefully he gets his head straight. Could've been a lot different with a competent center at the very least. RE: RIP Burrow Era - Synric - 09-11-2024 (09-11-2024, 10:14 AM)casear2727 Wrote: Like this? What is he doing? That was his issue Sunday....he was not seeing a lot of things well at all. That's gotta be rust doesn't it? I have no idea why Burrow didn't throw the hot read to Chase here with the 6 man pressure cover 1. Lol, wasn't the whole spin zone about Jamarr not practicing based on Burrow being able to build chemistry with the younger receivers? Burrow had plenty of reps throwing to these receivers in camp. Come on. RE: RIP Burrow Era - casear2727 - 09-11-2024 (09-11-2024, 11:08 AM)Synric Wrote: Chase opened late but Burrow is already running by thr time he uncovers. Now that flat is wide open. Deep crosser is DEFINITELY open in the NFL. Good lord what are you talking about? There is plenty of separation and if you rewatch the video Yoshi has a step towards the sideline. The safety was absolutely NOT sitting ready to drive, he was not just sitting deep he was running back to that spot. In the image the safety was in the midst of turning his hips, he came from the opposite side was flipping back. This is the NFL. I can't give an accurate assessment of that play without the full thing. We got 2 stop routes and Irwin doubled on maybe a corner route but he might be breaking post. What was Ja'Marr's route before Joe already has rhe ball tucked in running was it a stop route that turned into a scramble? No. It's middle of field closed vs a deep crossing route. Edit: I'm on vacation but I need to squeeze the all-22 in. I'm not saying Burrow had a good game just need to see it. Chase was running a drag across the middle, he actually broke deep at the very same time the safety began crashing down. No way they miss this if Burrow is playing well. ![]() |
