Maybe Trey for Mayer/1st round pick swap and their 3rd. Brad would love it lol (03-07-2025, 04:00 PM)Danger Zone Wrote: While I was all for the Bengals drafting Mayer I do agree with you, also I'd prefer Pitts if we are talking former 1st round TEs. Yeah, it would have to be a swap, like I said, swapping the Raiders first round pick with ours, or like you say with the Bears. RE: BREAKING: Bengals give Trey Hendrickson permission to be traded - Bengalbug - 03-07-2025 Jonathan Allen and Harold Landry just got released. Let’s do what the raiders did with capppa and bring them in before FA starts. Hendrickson leaving would hurt a lot less. He is getting up in age and time is running out if he wants to get the big money and a SB win. I think if we don't get some great offer for him, he will be back and sign his offer which is a lot more than he has coming this year without signing it. RE: BREAKING: Bengals give Trey Hendrickson permission to be traded - Tomcat - 03-07-2025 I don't see the Raiders trading #6 to us in any scenario unless they get Darnold or Russell Wilson in FA. If they don't get a QB IN FA they're going to hope Sanders falls to them at 6. If they get their QB in FA, I could possibly see this trade happening, but i would want Mayer, #6 and their 3rd for Trey and 17 like Tecmo said. If we make the trade i'm running to the Podium if Mason Graham is still on the board! RE: BREAKING: Bengals give Trey Hendrickson permission to be traded - Bengalbug - 03-07-2025 Trey and 17 may get us to pick 13, if reports of a late 2nd to early third is true. It would take Trey, 17 and next years first (and maybe more). Trey, Tee and our 17 might get there. #6 is off the table. Not worth another discussion. If Trey sits out he could lose about 1 million per game. He would never recoup the lost income. i agree, Trey will not sit out in 2025 and if here on same contract has no choice but to give 100%, he is playing again for a new contract. A team will have to offer a ton in draft capital as his 16 million base is very low for the sack leader in the NFL. Bengals will have to be motivated to give up their best defensive player. If not a great offer, I thin Bengals so no and Trey plays for us in 2025. Again wtbs, there are mocks like this out there in the media. Talk about an underwhelming return for an All Pro/DPOY finalist. That is a horrible deal for the NFL sack leader. I wouldnt let Trey go for anything less than a 1st. A 1st + late 2nd/early 3rd make sense. A 2nd or 3rd by itself doesnt. The draft is a crap shoot for teams even with 1st round draft picks. Guys dont come into the NFL producing at Trey's level. It usually takes some time even if you do get the pick right. What 1st round pick has put up 17 sacks his first, second or third year? You use a 1st round pick hoping to find a guy that eventually works out to be Trey Hendrickson. You dont get that production right away. You want that production right now? I say the Bengals should demand a 1st round pick RE: BREAKING: Bengals give Trey Hendrickson permission to be traded - 007BengalsFan - 03-07-2025 (03-07-2025, 04:25 PM)Bengalbug Wrote: Trey and 17 may get us to pick 13, if reports of a late 2nd to early third is true. Does that really seem like a good idea? Go look at how much a late second round/early third pick is really worth. Yes, moving up 4 spots in the first is likely the equivalent of a late 2nd or 3rd. A late 2nd round pick, moves you to 12. But sure, literally the entire NFL world is wrong and you just have passive aggressive comments with adding no substance. Keep on keepin on. Teams dont give uo a lot of draft capital for players with high salaries or coming off injury. Trey was a workhorse and make peanuts compared to Watt and Crosby for example. Bengals would be stupid to trade Trey to move up 4 spots. I think Bengals will get mutiple offers with a 1st round included, team buying has Trey for 16 million, a steal. The question may be if Bengals will pull the trigger. You made very compelling points on his value. Bears gave Raiders 4 draft picks for DE Mack including 2 first round picks. Trey won't commande as much, but a lot more than some think in my humble opinion. https://www.si.com/nfl/2023/09/01/how-khalil-mack-trade-from-raiders-to-bears-changed-nfl-daily-cover At the time, teams seldomly relinquished their first-round picks. But that changed Sept. 1, 2018, cutdown day in the NFL, after the Raiders traded Mack to the Bears for a handful of draft picks, including two first-round selections. That had been the first NFL trade in nine years involving multiple first-round picks going to one team for a veteran player. Before Mack, the Bears sent two first-round picks to the Broncos for quarterback Jay Cutler in 2009. Mack had also been the first veteran defensive player to be traded for multiple first-round picks since 1988, when the Colts acquired linebacker Fredd Young from the Seahawks.
