RE: We are looking at worst case scenario for a Chase extension. - Bengalfan4life27c - 10-08-2024 Somewhere in a paralel1 reality where Burrow had an extra half second in the SB Chase would also have a SB MVP on his resume matching Jerry Rice RE: We are looking at worst case scenario for a Chase extension. - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 10-08-2024 (10-07-2024, 10:38 PM)samhain Wrote: It was said repeatedly throughout the contract drama in the preseason that Chase would never be cheaper than he was then. That's a fact, and now we are looking at the consequences of not extending him then and there. He's absolutely balling out right now. The offense, despite the team's record, is borderline elite. Maybe not so borderline. Burrow is peak Burrow. Was just saying the same thing in the other Chase thread. He is probably going to go on and have the best season of his career and maybe the best of any WR this season and he will have to be paid the most. Just the way it is, should of gave him the guarantees lol But I still believe this season is far from lost even if it seems horrific right now. I don't either, which is scary considering their track record drafting DL. If he's at 14+ sacks toward the end of the year and still looks like Trey, they'd be idiots to not extend him a couple years. It would be Whitworth all over again. |
