Mike Brown doesn't care about super bowls or your pain. He only cares about putting more nickels in the coffer.

"Decrease the surplus expenditures!!!!" -- Ebenezer Brown, probably.

But he would be our best HC because....

Tbf Vrabel with a true franchise QB would probably be pretty scary. He had the Titans a #1 seed with Ryan Tannehill.

We have reached the point where some people call having a winning record is an accomplishment. Burrow himself said this is a failure, but, yeah, winning record really means something come next week on the couch. Sick

Zac being all giddy during the Raiders game and Burrow being like **** that shit really sums things up as far as different personalities/outlooks go. It applies to different types of fans, too.

9-8 does nothing but give a slow front office another excuse to stand pat.

Cap can be manipulated and continually pushed down the road.
Draft picks can be traded away to get proven talent.

These two things seem to be things that the Bengals FO doesn't believe in or know.

End of the day they need to better in the draft. Look they have been in the league over 50 years and only drafted 1 HOF player so far that aint getting it done. Second build the O-Line and the wins will follow. It all starts up front

Someone needs to tell Mike Brown that a highly successful, and dare I say, Championship team, makes him more money. "We did some good things" won't get us any further.

All this talk of Lombardi trophies and Playoff excellence won’t distract Mike from the true prize: Dicking down the Hamilton County taxpayers for favorable stadium concessions in the upcoming lease negotiations.

I wonder how the family will react when the old man finally kicks the bucket and some (probably a lot) long suffering Bengals fans treat it like a holiday. As messed up as that is, you know it’s going to happen. The guy has done little to endear himself to the fan base or the city, but celebrating his demise would be classless, in my opinion, and possibly serve as a catalyst in the Bengals leaving Cincinnati. I know, I know..that seems like quite a stretch, but it’s something to possibly consider.

Yep, and will never say MB is not a big part of the problem.

But the trend of not having the team ready at the beginning of the season has bitten us twice now. It's an issue that needs addressed, you can't just stumble out of the blocks and start in the hole every season and expect to just flip the switch.

P.S Im the UL fan on here and believe bfine is a UK fan. Cat on Cat crimes with claws and fangs out on Bengals boards is funny to me.

I have thought this same thing for years, plus he has had two opportunities to gain a huge amount of new Bengals fans.  The first opportunity was when the Browns left Cleveland for Baltimore....if he would have put together a winning team, and won a SB, think of all of the Ohio fans he could have gained (selling Palmer jerseys, ticket sales, etc).  Now with Burrow, you have a lot of younger fans all over the country that like the Bengals just because of him, but he is blowing it with this mediocrity of being near .500 every year and saying that's good.  If you would be a consistent winner, all those young fans become Bengals fans for life (think of pukesburg and Dallas in the 70s) and that is more $$$ in the Brown family coffer.  Doesn't make sense.

Did KC fire Andy Reid to do that?

Now, for two years straight, you're asking why a team with Super Bowl expectations is Cancun on 3.

The glaze of the Super Bowl appearance is wearing off.  The once-in-a-franchise-lifetime quarterback appears to be agitated.

We've all bought into the narrative of them trying to retain Tee and Ja'marr.  Why?  Because Joe wants it?  What does the family think?

At the end of the day, the old man will have the final say.  We assume that he won't alienate another all-time-franchise great in Chase by offering another lame-ass extension.  Everyone assumes that things are different.  We assume he will somehow bow to Joe and do his bidding.  I think that this belief is misinformed.

Even if he did do as Joe suggests, is that even appropriate?  Maybe we need a defense more than we need to keep the band together.

Lots of moving parts and volatility here.  The upside is that we have 2 top 10 players in the league on the roster.  Probably the best qb in the league.  Best receiver hands down.  Those things should be advantages.   Somehow, the team has manages to makes them potential obstacles.

They have to stick the landing in 25.  If they don't, it will never happen for us.  If we don't win it with Burrow, we never will.  Screwing this era of Bengals football up is going to be fatal to the organization's tenure in Cincinnati.

It's time for the family to show that's it's serious.  This offseason will tell us absolutely everything we need to know about the future of the Bengals in Cincinnati.

Heard the exact same thing when Kenny Anderson was here, then Boomer, then Palmer. Only the names change....

He's actually done a hell of a lot to endear himself to the ungrateful community. He may not be a good GM, but he is a good decent man who treats all his employees like family. He gives money to charities all over the city. But you're right, there will be slimy fans who cheer his demise.

It would be interesting to see if was a noticeable jump in revenue for an organization after winning a championship compared to before.

Curious to what the Chiefs jumped up to after their championship back in 2019.

I only mention that because maybe Mike Brown is content with how much he makes and given his age and health, what's the point in trying to get a bunch more?
A championship at this point in his life would be just to say it happened.

Well part of that is (or can be) bias towards Cincinnati organization.
Bengals have some great players who have (way) more production than many of these HOF guys, but those guys get credit for being on Super Bowl winning teams.

All-Pro and/or Pro Bowl-caliber should be the better gauge of hitting on draft picks.

Have they really "hit" on any early draft pick in the Taylor era aside from Burrow, Chase, and Higgins?

This comes down to proper scouting and arguably being able to either mold that player into the team scheme or adapt the scheme around said player.
I personally think the Bengals have had some decent draft picks who didn't pan out because of poor coaching.

It's tough when you have the Brown family who appear to be very kind, loyal, generous people, but then on the other hand are arguably one of the worst owners in all of pro sports.

The Brown Family is smart at running a successful business — but not when it comes to football.
