Way too many holes on this team to have Tee Higgins making 20+ million per year. And you know he's gonna miss 5 games at least RE: Tee Higgins firing his agent... No he's not, Mughetta is a PITA and seems to me to be more into what's in it for him than what the athlete wants. And if Tee wants to give up a few million to play with his friends and have fun instead of making a little more money somewhere else and being miserable, then he's more than qualified to make that decision for himself. Either way, he's set for life if he's smart, so why not be happy RE: Tee Higgins firing his agent... What are you hating on him for, because he effectively advocates for his clients and gets them paid their worth? Because he not willing to put up with a family business lowballing his clients? We don't know what actually goes down in communications between the agent and team, no idea. For all we know the Bengals may have been reaching out to Mulugheta, only for their attempts to fall upon deaf ears. On the other hand, maybe the shrewd negotiator that Mulugheta is threw out a "final" offer that was just ridiculously high and the Bengals want to meet in the middle? Like I said, we have no idea as to the communications. What we do know is that Mulugheta also represented Jesse Bates III, and all we heard was a lot of nothing about negotiations. Seems like Higgins just wants another option that is willing to actually sit down with the team. RE: Tee Higgins firing his agent... Who is also Jessie Bates agent? - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 12-12-2024 The FA class is pretty limited this year. Take this article, for example. From Pro Football Network in November. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-free-agents-by-position/ They have DT without a true impact player at the top (BJ Hill is #4). They say TE is the weakest position group, and have Gesicki #1. Higgins is the #1 WR and #1 overall. It seems like the retaining our own guys and/or the draft is clearly the way to go at DT, WR2, and TE. Now, there are some options if we want to big game hunting at IOL and S. But not a lot. Trey Smith (KC) and James Daniels (Pitt) are both top 15 guards in their prime. Though better run blockers than pass protectors. Zeitler is 34 but grades out at 90 at PFF. Will Fries (Indy) is more balanced. Fries (broken leg) and Daniels (Achilles) are both coming off injury. RE: Tee Higgins firing his agent... The Bengals definitely have a lengthy needs list, as far as getting back to a Superbowl quality roster. Can they make all of those moves happen, probably not. But if they even made 3 or 4 of them happen, it would go a long way. (provided that Hill and Turner return to form and play the way they were prior to injury) RE: Tee Higgins firing his agent... Can you verify that with any actual printed material? I mean, another member did the work earlier that showed nearly half of his clients don't re-up with their originally drafted teams. Even taking his work at face value, it doesn't mean shit in the context of my claim. It's worthless. A general statistic about all NFL players Mulugeta represents doesn't do anything when the claim is that the Bengals don't re-sign their own players when they're represented by him. The bengals could have a lower success rate that's unique to other NFL teams, so they could have a lower number than that figure. If someone wants to compile specific data comparing the Bengals retention rate to other teams; be my guest. But I won't be cleaning up someone's half-assed work for them. RE: Tee Higgins firing his agent... Who is also Jessie Bates agent? - Synric - 12-13-2024 Tee is now represented by the same agent as Chase. Maybe Arceneaux is more willing to work with roster bonuses over straight guaranteed money at signing.
RE: Tee Higgins firing his agent... Who is also Jessie Bates agent? - Frank Booth - 12-13-2024 I guess we as fans just have to be content with passing and receiving records rather than making playoff runs consistently RE: Tee Higgins firing his agent... I see his current PFF is 77 and he's 17th highest rated Safety. I thought he was top 1 or 2. RE: Tee Higgins firing his agent...
