I remember we didn’t understand why he wasn’t cut. If I recall correctly it was because he had a chronic hamstring issue. He finally went out and researched the issue and resolved it through a power yoga routine that took him over an hour a day. He tried to sell it to other players but they were not into that kind of time commitment. Tee should be buying... What an uninformed comment. You really think Burton checks himself into games? He isnt even active every game. On top of that.... ZAC SAID THAT HE CALLED THE POSITION GROUPING IMMEDIATELY AND BURROW WASNT AWARE. Maybe watch a press conference every now and then? Just let Burton run around back yard style until he's open at this point. It's still gonna be better than Yoshi/Irwin/Jones. How can you even say Jones is bad at WR he has had very few targets most likely less targets than Burton this year as a WR. Which is a huge problem for Zac and this staff and continues to be. All preseason Yoshi was playing outside, and Jones was playing in the slot then your head coach Zac switches it up the very last min before the start of the season. That is on Zac and not the players. I would say that things must be trending in the right direction for Burton and his development, since Joe Burrow is on record as saying that he feels that Burton merits more playing time. The chances a Day 3 pick evolves into a quality starter are slim. Hell, less than 50% of 4th round picks last through their rookie deals without being cut. I mean, seriously, think about that. But folks will still bank on 6th/7th round picks being starters in Year 2. You're lucky if you can get a few years of cheap depth out of them. Yeah, occasionally you'll hit on a TJ or Geno, but you can't EXPECT much. |
