Wirfs moved to left. I'm certain Sewell will too when that lt leaves. Just like obj demanded to play lt

That was because of his dad.

Anyway, they’re not cutting OBJ, so this is a pointless discussion.

RE: Amarius Mims - Sled21 - 12-03-2024

Anytime we get a player who is playing well at his position, someone wants to move him. Like clockwork.

I was just getting ready to start a thread suggesting Burrow be moved to kicker since McPherson has been struggling.    Tongue Ninja

He'll try McPherson at WR... Burton ain't it.

Good breakdown here on Mims vs Watt.

Oh and why did his dad tell him to do that?  Why did wirfs?  I know, because they don't make any moves they just let the sink ship. They wouldn't need to cut, they could trade for a draft pick. A good left tackle could fetch a ransom.

You really think our 22 year old rookie rt , that is a freak athlete isn't the lt of the future?  He has a higher pff grade than obj now.

The team sucks at drafting lineman. Where do you think they'll find their next franchise lt?

Why pay the current very average lt 15m when the rt could do it better and will be the lt one day. When we have so many gaping holes to fill.

Go watch that video I just posted above. Goodberry literally mentioned in it that Watt goes up against RT’s about 95% of the time. It’s just completely nonsensical to make the team worse by getting rid of a good player in OBJ, and possibly hindering the development of another good young player by moving him around when you don’t have to.

Because OBJ played absolutely horribly against the Steelers due to not being fully healthy. Anyone with eyes could see he can’t move right now. He still has a higher pass blocking grade (71.4) than Mims (61.0) on the season.

His overall is like 58. One game doesn't do that. The fact you still can't see am is gone future at lt is comical

You don't base his future position by one aging opponent

Watt also moved off of him to face obj. What does that tell you?

I’m not going to keep going back and forth with you about this. I’ll just reiterate that I hope they leave Mims right where he is (at least for the next couple years while OBJ is here) and leave it at that.

Last week when people were saying move Karras to Guard.

RE: Amarius Mims - Synric - 12-04-2024

Orlando Brown Jr was having the best year of his career as a pass protector before his injury.

Well that’s a completely different situation. Karras had his best season in the NFL at guard, and we currently have a glaring need at the position to the point they’re benching starter’s for backups. Not to mention it wouldn’t hurt to get a look at Matt Lee for evaluation purposes.

So by your logic and statement karras just got good at center and then people wanted to move him

That's fine. But the team had a lot of gaping holes to plug so it is going to take some creativity

I'd argue Center is a more important position than guard, and Karras' best season at guard was a while ago. While Lee may have the physical talent to come in at Center, he is not going to have Karras' experience helping Joe dissect the defense. So you would be weakening two positions trying to fix one.
