Homey just ain’t worth it. Conner is equally productive with his role in that offense.

Especially considering the price differential.

Don't think so. Not nearly the passing threat Bell is.

But very good, nevertheless.

He had a great game last week, but only 17 yards and a TD on 8 carries this week.  People saying Conner could replace Bell after week 1 were like the people who thought McCarron could replace Andy after a limited sample size.

Bell is the type of guy you need to game plan to stop.  Conner is a guy who will get yards because teams are game planning to stop Brown and Juju.

I was talking about volume. If Conner gets 23 carries and 7 catches per game his numbers would be very similar to the rapper’s.

Gotta remember that it only takes one team.  The Browns have over $60 million in cap space next year.  The Colts have over $59 mil.  The 49'ers have over $42 mil.  Any of those teams can sign Bell and still have a ton of money to make other moves with.

Bell has said he's glad Conner had a good game and he doesn't wish ill on the Steelers.  It's funny that Steeler fans hope the guy doesn't get paid.
Im sure that he will get paid and paid well and more than the Steelers offered him. I just don't think that he's going to get as much as he thinks. IMO it won't be a whole lot more than what Gurley got.

Exactly. It's a cost/benefit thing. No doubt Bell is good and the Steelers offense is better with him. But with Conner if they can be 85% of what they'd be with Bell at 1/10 the cost they're better off. Bell's money should be spent on defense.

They were behind 21-nil in the first quarter and were taken out of their gameplan. Ben had 60 attempts, so Im not too concerned about his yardage.

The first game last year against Cleveland, Bell only had 32 yards.

Hard to give Conner 23 carries when he only averaged like 2.0 ypc this week.

The Steelers couldn't stop the Chiefs.  One way to counter that is to pound the rock and play ball control.  The Steelers couldn't do that in part because Conner was ineffective as a runner.  17 yards on 8 carries is pathetic.  The Steelers had drives where they could have gotten him going while KC was jumping out to their 21-0 lead.  They had opportunity to get him going after they tied it at 21-21.  However, Conner's poor performance didn't warrant more touches than what he got.

Bell had 32 yards on 10 carries in his first game without going through training camp.  3.2 ypc is pretty mediocre, yes, but 2.1 ypc is just sad.
