That’s LeBron Jordan averaged more shots per game and per 36 than Lebron does. MJ was an all-around GOAT, but he was primarily known for his scoring ability and defensive prowess. Lebron is not. Despite being a great scorer, he is known for his passing and playmaking abilities. They're different players completely. MG was a score first shooting guard whereas Lebron embodies the positionless basketball as a "point forward" type player. LeBron has won 4 NBA Championships and every single time he was MVP of the finals. He has also won 4 regular season MVPs. I love Joe Burrow but it is silly at this point to even try to compare him to LeBron. Bron didn't have a ring by hi second season so it is still early. But right now Burrow is not even in the same discussion with LeBron as far as the "it" factor. RE: Joe B. becoming national NFL icon?? - Luvnit2 - 04-10-2022 OK enough chat about the NBA which has n relevance to this thread. Mods need to delete a bunch of posts Now back to Burrow, can he become an Icon Nationally? Joe Burrow is fun to watch but his popularity requires that he continues to play winning football. He's way more Broadway Joe than Peyton Manning. Or he could double down on his young gun personae and become a national spokesman for "Manscaped " RE: Joe B. becoming national NFL icon?? - BFritz21 - 04-10-2022 (04-10-2022, 10:17 AM)fredtoast Wrote: LeBron has won 4 NBA Championships and every single time he was MVP of the finals. I think it’s important to remember that the NBA has been in the era of “super teams” for a while now. Out of the 10 Finals that Bron has been to, his team has only been favored to win three times. These were the 2020-2020 Finals, the 2013 Finals and the 2011 Finals. He has been on some stacked teams, but he has also gone up against stacked teams. The 2007 Spurs with Parker, Ginobli and Duncan. All of the Warriors Finals with Curry, Durant and Klay. The young Thunder squad with Durant, Harden and Westbrook. When you have 4 championships and you were the MVP of every one of those series then you have the "it" factor. Lebron has won championships because he has been on loaded teams. How many times has Lebron passed on a last second shot? Pure talent got him those MVPs, not the "it" factor. This article describes how Lebron is lacking the "it" factor. This article is from 2011 when LeBron had not yet won a title. And it is kind of funny because by his seventh season when this was written LeBron had already been to an NBA finals in just his 4th season. Jordan did not even make the finals until his 7th season. If you went back to the same point in Jordan's career you would find stories about how he was too soft to get the Bulls past the Pistons and into the NBA Finals. His teams weren't bad but they weren't near as loaded as Bron's teams. If you have been watching any television lately, analysts aren't even trying to argue Lebron as the GOAT anymore, which the dude has all the physical abilities in the world, so what's missing? The "it" factor. You're proving how clueless you are in this matter. (04-11-2022, 10:26 AM)fredtoast Wrote: This article is from 2011 when LeBron had not yet won a title. It makes "no sense" to say that a guy with 4 rings 4 regular season MVPs and 4 Championship series MVPs has the "it" factor? You know, Brad, I disagree with a lot of other people on this board. But instead of just making everything personal when I disagree with them they make arguments about the issue we are debating. So far all you have posted is an article from 2011 which was before LeBron had won any of his championships. And 6 years into Jordan's career people were saying the exact same thing about him because he had not even made an NBA finals yet.
