RE: ***Official 2021 NFL Draft Thread*** - CarolinaBengalFanGuy - 04-30-2021 The ACC is awful. Postseason sure though RE: ***Official 2021 NFL Draft Thread*** - pally - 04-30-2021 they are moving him inside to guard RE: ***Official 2021 NFL Draft Thread*** - TJ528 - 04-30-2021 (04-30-2021, 09:15 PM)PlayadLc Wrote: He’s our starting guard. That kid isn't starting this year. He was a 5 star athlete out of HS and honestly never lived up to his hype. If the kid plays guard for us at any point this year your in luck. This is a 3rd round reach by the team. Hell they couldve kept trading back to the end of the 2nd round and still gotten Carmen and 10 6th and 7th round picks. RE: ***Official 2021 NFL Draft Thread*** - TheLeonardLeap - 04-30-2021 Bengals love them some hurt guys...
RE: ***Official 2021 NFL Draft Thread*** - Bengalfan4life27c - 04-30-2021 He projects to be a quality NFL G according to ESPN. Downgraded because they dont think he can be above average at T. RE: ***Official 2021 NFL Draft Thread*** - CJD - 04-30-2021 For real though, how is JOK still on the board? RE: ***Official 2021 NFL Draft Thread*** - Yogo - 04-30-2021 I don't know if it's worth it, but better trade up in front of Pittsburgh if wanna get Creed too. I can see them looking at Creed. The Bengals wanting Carman rumors started a couple of hours before the draft. They were able to trade back and get him. So, basically they get Carman - the guy they already had targeted - and 2 4th rounders for 38. But when I hear Andre Smith I'm thinking titties. RE: ***Official 2021 NFL Draft Thread*** - Bengalstripes9 - 04-30-2021 Hmmm... Not sure what to think of this. Should we have not traded down and just grab BPA (who the pats took)? Should we have stayed put and reached on eichenberg who people on here were high on? Is this a good pick? or are we reaching for a need that we passed on in the 1st? Smells like a the draft where we reached on two tackles and neither panned out. Maybe he’s a good prospect though?? No way he was 317 in that picture where he has a spare tire. Jackson Carman is a former 5 Star recruit that played at 330. He is very smooth mover that is a monster in the run game and was a huge part of Travis Etienne success at Clemson. His biggest issues were inconsistantcy vs speed rushers off the edge but didnt give up an inch go power rushers. And yes he measured under that 33' arm msrck that will likely slide him inside but for a guy with short arms he plays at length and with very heavy hands which is impressive for a guy coming out of college. Disagree, Carman is about as good of a Guard as you could get in this class that can also play Tackle. Road grading run blocker, cannot believe people are hating on this pick, but eh. No surprise with some. Also traded back and added a pick. Great job. RE: ***Official 2021 NFL Draft Thread*** - CJD - 04-30-2021 Wooooow. Aaron Banks in the 2nd. If people think Carman was a reach, this was a HUGE reach. As a guard he’s a good prospect, I was glad basically called out that was the plan. We are going outside zone, taking guys who can move and putting them inside is a really good approach.
