RE: Bengals needs after FA Frenzy - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 03-23-2025 From what I can find, quickly, here are the players we have met with and the type of meeting, by position. https://atozsports.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals-news/bengals-2025-prospect-meeting-tracker-nfl-scouting-combine/ https://walterfootball.com/ProspectMeetingsByTeam2025.php https://www.cincyjungle.com/2025/3/22/24390202/isaiah-neyor-bengals-nebraska-wr https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/news/cincinnati-bengals-bringing-top-playmaker-nick-emmanwori-visit-2025-nfl-draft-01jpq61hx4k0 https://sports.yahoo.com/article/bengals-host-josh-conerly-top-093116997.html DE: Stewart, Texas A&M, Combine Scourton, Texas A&M, Combine EDGE/OLB: Green, Marshall, Combine Pearce, Tennessee, Combine M. Williams, Georgia, Combine Oliver, Oklahoma State, Combine G: Ratledge, Georgia, Combine Slater, Sacramento State, Combine DT: Nolen, Ole Miss, Combine Walker, Kentucky, Combine S: Emmanwori, South Carolina, visit (Top 30?) Starks, Georgia, Combine Winston Jr., Penn State, Combine Mickens, Clemson, Combine TE: Warren, Penn State, Combine Loveland, Michigan, Combine Taylor, LSU, Combine Helm, Texas, Combine CB: Johnson, Michigan, Combine Amos, Ole Miss, Combine LB: Carter, Clemson, Combine Martin, Oklahoma State, Top 30 WR: Egbuka, Ohio State, Combine Golden, Texas, Combine Bryant, Illinois, Combine Nash, San Jose State, Combine Collins, Notre Dame, Combine Brown, Miami, Combine Armstrong, Arkansas, Pro Day TeSlaa, Arkansas, Pro Day Neyor, Nebraska, meeting C: Wilson, Georgia, Combine Monheim, USC, Combine OT: Conerly, Oregon, Top 30 Brown, Kansas, Combine Crenshaw-Dickson, Florida, Combine Williams, Cincy, Combine Travis, Iowa State, Combine Pierce, Rutgers, Combine RB: Jeanty, Boise State, Combine Monangai, Rutgers, Combine Kiner, Cincy, Combine ---------- I am absulolutely, positively sure I am missing some. And did not include general visits to pro days (Georgia, for instance) where Bengals coaches were spotted. Only player specific ones. But if someone wants to add that on, and listcwhich coaches were there, to hint at who we were looking at, feel free. Just use that list as a base and go from there. RE: Can someone explain to me what guys specifically we could’ve signed with Tee’s money - XsandOs - 03-23-2025 (03-18-2025, 11:58 PM)Nate (formerly eliminate08) Wrote: Milton Willaims might not be better than BJ Hill on another team. I agree on Tee even if he doesn't stay healthy as much as we would Nate, I am not sure why everyone wanted Milton Williams. I understand the need for replacing Rankins, but we already have a Milton Williams on the roster. Jenkins was being compared to Williams in the pre-draft process. He just needs time and a better supporting cast around him. I think year 2 will be a breakout for Jenkins. BTW, Milton Williams was non-existent in the first SB against Chiefs. In this SB he had two sacks. Why? Time to develop. He came in the league in the 280lb range. Jenkins physically adjusted by mid-season. His run defense PFF was slightly better than Williams. But obviously, playing next to a rookie NT and also having to line up as NT, did not give him the same opportunities to show his pass rush. A second day 3-tech to develop behind Jenkins and Hill would be ideal. He could rotate in the latter part of the season. There are several good ones in this deep class. Or we could go with another NT, to replace Tufele. All I am trying to convey is that Jenkins looks like he has the makings of a really nice 3-tech. How fall does he fall? I would think out of round 1. Not much, if at all. We'll see, though. I still like him better than Green, Pearce, Nolen, Grant, and Harmon. For me, this moves him below Emmanwori and closer to even with Starks & Loveland. Safety is arguably the weakest and scariest (in a bad way) position group on the team. Hence, why I've mentioned we could see Dax back there again. Not saying that's a good thing but it may be necessary. I would love to see Ivey get a TC or offseason. I still think he is a player that can play. It kind of takes him out of the running for me. This team has really painted itself into a corner with the lackluster free agency and oddly structured receiver deals. We need someone that isn't already slated to miss a chunk of the season. I like Darius Alexander out of Toledo as someone to basically take Tufele's place RE: BREAKING: Bengals give Trey Hendrickson permission to be traded - jj22 - 03-23-2025 Greens been accused of sexual assault at two different schools….. Pearce has Burton character concerns. We can get a pass rusher or two on day 2. 3T or safety in the first. I did not know this. Even not knowing, weirdly, I still wasn't thrilled about our trenches options at #17. Too early for a G, unless Campbell or Membou slide. Ditto for the DT guys aside from Graham, though not by much. I don't like Stewart ot M. Williams due to lack of production. I think it is too early for the other true DE's like Scourton, Jackson, JTT, etc. We are not a great scheme fit for the OLB/Edge types. I'd love Carter, but he is long gone by #17. Green and Pearce would be next up based on talent, but I still would prefer other guys. Even if a blue chipper does not fall to us (Warren, Walker, Johnson), I still feel better about guys like J. Campbell, Emmanwori, and even Starks, Loveland, and Jackson, than the DL guys. I feel surer about the first group being excellent at LB/S/TE/G than I do about the others being excellent DL. More than any particular position group, we need more stud guys beyond Burrow, Chase,,Trey, and Tee. At any position. RE: They're Done!!! Just because they were making them Sound fast, doesn’t mean they were driving fast. I probably went a higher rate of speed yesterday going 84 than they got to. Was it a little silly? Sure, but in no way was this street racing. RE: They're Done!!! They cost themselves millions by not doing so. This line of thinking that seemingly everyone spouts is complete hogwash. Yeah, you might sign them cheaper, but as soon as the next big deal is signed the players want to renegotiate their deals. Look at Trey Hendrickson. He was signed for what was a big contract. Then with 2 years left, he wants to re-negotiate because other DE's are making more. And now this year, with one year left, he wants to be traded. The league does not make players honor their contracts. SO you might sign a player like Chase or Higgins cheaper initially, but they are just going to want to renegotiate as soon as someone else is making more than them. It appears ESPN thinks Bengals improved after first wave of FA - Luvnit2 - 03-24-2025 Many of our own fans are trashing the FO. Some are calling us Bungles, same name used by our enemies to trash us. ESPN ranks the Bengals as the 7th best tem in the NFL rght now. They finished 18th in 2024. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/44329752/nfl-power-rankings-offseason-post-free-agency-poll-2025-radar-move Maybe we do have hope in 2025 in spite of the naysayers opinions. Really because they've been all over his character concerns and even at the combine it was said no surprise he blew it up and forgot his shirt. Said that was pretty typical of him. Late for meetings, needing to be micromanaged, no self discipline. Even Burrow loves Burton so not sure if teammates liking him means much. Burton shoved a girl after the Tennessee game and well had publicized character issues at both schools. It's not the same. RE: BREAKING: Bengals give Trey Hendrickson permission to be traded - jj22 - 03-24-2025 Seems like you've turned this more about Burton. Which wasn't really what noting Pearce's character concerns was really about. Let's not get distracted by mentioning Burton if it's triggering. The point. Pearce has character concerns, immaturity and coaching. But he hasn't shoved a girl you are right so it's not a perfect comparison. RE: It appears ESPN thinks Bengals improved after first wave of FA - chopperbobby - 03-24-2025 I dont know looks like we kept the same team we had last year at a much higher price tag.
