RE: favorite 1985 movies - bfine32 - 08-05-2015 Too many good movies and a few not listed: Mask Fletch Out of Africa One of my personal favorites that really is a crappy movie is Vision Quest. All things considered give me The Breakfast Club. RE: favorite 1985 movies - Johnny Cupcakes - 08-06-2015 Back To The Future is the best movie of that entire decade. The Shining, Blade Runner, Raiders of the Lost Ark,Platoon,Raging Bull,Fast Times,Scarface,Caddyshack,Ferris Bueller's Day Off, E.T., The Terminator,A Nightmare on Elm Street, Do the Right Thing, Tootsie all movies from the Eighties. Saying that one is the movie of the decade is certainly open to serious debate and completely a matter of the eye of the beholder. RE: favorite 1985 movies - StLucieBengal - 08-06-2015 Wow there were loads of great movies . Where have all the writers gone in Hollywood. It's all remakes now . RE: favorite 1985 movies - Donnyho - 08-06-2015 No question. RE: favorite 1985 movies - Bengal Dude - 08-06-2015 Back to the Future. I never get tired of watching it. RE: favorite 1985 movies - Beaker - 08-06-2015 Silverado for me. It was the first date with a pretty hot girl I ended up going out with for awhile. RE: favorite 1985 movies - fredtoast - 08-06-2015 Goonies is one of the most overrated movies ever. Favorite "hits" Jewel of the Nile Back to the Future Fletch Pee Wee's Big Adventure Better movies that were not hits. After Hours (One of the all time best movies that many people have not seen. A comedy masterpiece from Martin Scorsese) Brazil (cult classic that a lot of people have probably seen) The Falcon and the Snowman (based on a true story about 2 young friends who sold security secrets to the Soviet Union) Fandango (A great coming of age story about 5 guys who take a wild "last" road trip after graduating from college in 1971. Really good movie.) **EDIT** forgot Pale Rider. One of my all time favorite westerns. I love the wedding scene with that great Pat Metheny song. RE: favorite 1985 movies - WeezyBengal - 08-06-2015 The Breakfast Club maybe one of the most overrated movies of all time. Movie bored me to tears. RE: favorite 1985 movies - WeezyBengal - 08-06-2015 (08-06-2015, 03:35 AM)StLucieBengal Wrote: Wow there were loads of great movies . Heard on the radio today they are remaking Jumanji and a Bad Boys 3 and 4 have been green lighted. Are there no more creative people left in Holywood? My lord. Okay I don't want you all to think the whole movie was cheesey because of this one clip. Most of it is a rollicking comedy, but there are also dark parts about one of the guys going to Vietnam. It is about 5 guys on a long road trip after graduating from college. they are all dealing with leaving their carefree colleeg days behind and dealing with grown up issues. I also really liked this because back in the '80's I was a big Pat Metheny fan RE: favorite 1985 movies - WeezyBengal - 08-06-2015 (08-06-2015, 06:04 PM)Beaker Wrote: Silverado for me. It was the first date with a pretty hot girl I ended up going out with for awhile. I went to the movies one time in grade school with a bunch of friends. A couple of them were dating. They sat in the back row and made out the entire time. When we left one of the girls jeans she was wearing were completely drenched around her crotch area. True story. |
