Billings, Lawson, and bates - Andy2AJ - 08-28-2018 With illoka gone, we need bates to continue what he’s done in the preseason, if he falls off teams will go at him all day long which is why I hated getting rid of george. Billings, has been phenomenal. He’s the guy we expected when we drafted two years ago. I feel he is a huge piece to our success this year. And of course Lawson. The one thing Marvin is great at is finding those gems in rounds 3-6. Lawson is no exception. He had what 3.5 sacks yesterday? If he can continue to stay healthy the dude is going to be an absolute stud. He’s so fast and damn good. I really like our up and coming corners like denard and Jackson, especially jackson I see him as a future pro bowl guy. My only concern right now is Dalton’s consistency and our run game. It’s been mediocre at best and we gotta get mixon and gio some holes. In your opinion who will be our breakout player(s) this year. Curious as to who you think will be guys that you didn’t expect much from, but exceed expectations. RE: Billings, Lawson, and Owens - Nicomo Cosca - 08-28-2018 Who’s Owens? RE: Billings, Lawson, and bates - Andy2AJ - 08-28-2018 Sorry guys I updated it, I meant bates, not sure why I put Owens, but I meant bates RE: Billings, Lawson, and bates - Andy2AJ - 08-28-2018 Now that I edited it, what do you think of these guys, and who are your sleepers you expect to have a big year? He's going to come out of HOF retirement to help us get over the top, with a twist. The twist being that we're going to disguise him as a Safety, and he's going to be our Safety blitz specialist. RE: Billings, Lawson, and bates - The Real Deal - 08-28-2018 Wait...who is Owens, guys? RE: Billings, Lawson, and bates - Vas Deferens - 08-28-2018 A.C. RE: Billings, Lawson, and bates - leonardfan40 - 08-28-2018 I don’t know anything about this Owens guy everyone is talking up, but after reading this thread I’m very excited to see what he can do this year! Must be a real under the radar signing if I missed it. RE: Billings, Lawson, and bates - BengalHawk62 - 08-28-2018 Is it Owen or Owens? Who is he? RE: Billings, Lawson, and bates - grampahol - 08-29-2018 I knew a bunch of Owens's growing up.. In fact there were two separate families of them 2 houses apart right across the street from us. There were some others in the old neighborhood too and to the best of my recollection I don't recollect any of em playing for the Bengals. Oh, back to the original question ... what was the question? Bates is great in coverage and he will make teams pay if they try to go after him unlike Iloka who was not good at generating turnovers. Billings should really help the entire Defense if he can get to making good run stuffs, if teams try to double Geno, Billings will get his, he is just too strong to handle one on one. Lawson is simply a phenominal pass rusher. He just needs to stay healthy and he should have atleast 10 sacks this season, if not 15+. He is that good. My sleeper is Brandon Wilson, think he will be great on ST's and might even make a push for that other Safety position. Wilson has a knack for being around the ball. He can also play RB if we want to throw teams off. RE: Billings, Lawson, and bates - 3wt - 08-29-2018 Buck Owens Got a tiger by the tail...
