Reds September Games Thread
Last 7 starts for Abbott: 28 IP (4.0 IP/start), 6.43 ERA, 1.89 WHIP

Still have no idea why they didn't shut him down earlier. He hasn't been helping and all they are doing is sending him out there to get smoked while long since having hit a wall.

Closing the gap.

Sadly the Cubs have a lead in their game.

Never try to run on Laureano. One of the best arms in MLB history.

Reds fall to 13-14 since McLain's injury.

Oh well. It was a fun season. And a step in the right direction with all the young talent. They were never going to overcome all those pitchers going down.

I think that the guy still had the glove on him during that brief instant where he popped off of the base before his thighs hit the bag.

Yep

I've said it many times so one more won't hurt. Never woulda believed they'd still be alive in late September. Hell figured it would be over by June, like usual. So in the big picture I'm very happy. And looking forward to next season.

Just really hoping ownership will make some good offseason moves and bring in some upper level pitching.

Never had a chance to keep the glove on him because he got knocked on his ass as the tag happened.

We got ****** by the umps and are now in an even deeper hole.

Still, if the Marlins and Cubs lose tomorrow, we'll enter the final regular season weekend only down 1 game.

It's still possible.

Tomorrow's slate - my shift keys are broken so the times look weird.
2;10 D-Backs vs White Sox - Jarvis vs Toussaint - bullpen day for Arizona. It's highly unlikely that they go 0-4 but it's still mathematically possible.
7;10 Marlins vs Mets - Luzardo vs Peterson
7;20 Cubs vs Braves - Stroman vs Smith-Schawver
