Of course they are going to give up big rushing numbers. Who does Anarumo have on the defensive line? They let Reader walk when they needed to keep him and give him help. Instead we replace him with Rankins who has posted some pretty bad rush defense PFF grades the last 3 years. BJ Hill is OK but nothing great. Backing up those 2 you have Carter and Tufele. At end you have Hendrickson who is a liability in run defense and on the other side you have Hubbard coming back from surgery, playing like he is washed up. The talent just isnt there. Anarumo cant make chicken salad out of chicken ____.

The interior DL actually held up - the issue was poor tackling. About 100 of the rush yards New England got were after missed tackles.
I think I would be practicing tackling all week.

Yep. It was Pratt and the secondary missing tackles all day that killed them. I actually thought the DL outside of Hubbard played ok.

The 5th and 17th highest cap hits at DE.
The 11th and 12th highest cap hits at DT.
All of whom got signed/extended while Anarumo was here.

New England has no offense, so yes. The chiefs would kill the defense that was fielded on Sunday. Will a different defense show up? Thinking no, hoping yes, but Anarumo was next to last and last in many categories last year too.
If you don't stop the run, you don't give Burrow enough chances. When you keep Burrow on the bench, you lose.

but the vote of no confidence from zac is the nail to me, don't punt that ball you idiot. especially with this anarumo defense. you put your faith in anarumo than burrow? Shot of no confidence. Ain't no more yelling at the camera "don't ***** zero me" from Burrow.
Burrow has his money and it is human nature to not have the same drive, I'd take browning's "you should have never ***** cut me" and mixon's same quote for sure right now over whatever unmotivated mess the bengals are in.
Losing a football game hurts less when you've got 50 million back there. Our wins involve getting lucky, we were superbly unlucky yesterday on top of it. Like they say you can create luck, and it shows that we haven't put the work done to do so.
Games look a whole lot different if you only get 10K if you lose. Live like the rest of us. It's just entertainment though so win or lose, you get the millions. Can someone convince me anyone on the team yesterday had drive other than our punter to show he will take the starting job?
Nope, but damn he looked good!

Bingo
And despite the low score we got gashed way to often with longer runs.

Burrow contributed to that loss just as much as anyone else...Regardless, I think we are past the "old Burrow " days..

That's next level embarassing.
PFR has it as...
Dax: 3
CTB: 1
Bell: 1
Stone: 2
Combine that with Pratt's 1, Hendrickson's 1, and BJ Hill's 1 and that's a nice round 10.... almost like guys could use a bit more practice in live tackling.
If only they had a time of the year where you could do that. Perhaps with some games that are played full speed against an opposing team where the W-L doesn't matter.

I thought Burrow was going to be Montana 2.0, but he’s quickly turning into Dalton 2.0.

I think the injuries he's racked up are almost "unfair" lol. We saw the best Andy Dalton could offer, the question is did we already see the best Burrow can offer.

I think the wrist is still messed up. Even the long ball he threw to Chase, wasn’t a great throw. Chase talked about it after the game. You could tell he was perturbed by it. He could have led him more.

According to that press conference, Ja'marr said he was mad about that throw, he said Burrow said he was trying to protect him. Imagine (in hilarity) that Burrow is lying and he can't throw that ball accurately. I trust him for now lol, it was over the middle, he's basically telling him to get down. Chase wanted to go upfield.
Regardless, it felt like we took zero shots that game, Burrow will have to throw into double coverage like a lot of other teams with stud receivers. A gun shy Burrow is not what we think when we think of the best of him.

Your first sentence is a loaded one.
The wrist could be messed up as in he's still not accustomed to playing live games with it. It could be messed up as in it still feels different than it did at 100 percent. Neither are ideal but both somewhat understandable.
It could also be messed up as in there's actual lingering or new structural damage. If this is the case, then you might as well close the door on this organization. Not era. Organization. It would prove true every single accusation of mismanagement of highly drafted quarterbacks.
They ran him out there (undoubtedly after ample prodding from Burrow himself) with a bad calf that greatly impacted his mobility last year. It inhibited his escapability. It was a huge risk. Didn't go well in the end.
I know they want money and butts in seats. I know that Burrow wants to resume building a legacy. That will never happen, ever, if he and they continue to refuse to acknowledge realities when he's physically compromised.
After watching film breakdowns, you almost have to think that Jake Browning, even as a mediocre starting qb, could have helped them win that game. It's exactly the game he's here to help them win. Burrow with no downfield playbook is not much better than Jake. Burrow with now downfield playbook also leads to Burrow on the sideline in street clothes before Thanksgiving.

No he didn't. Did he play great? No, but Burrow didn't drop a TD, he didn't fumble a TD away at the goal line, he did not drop a pass on a huge 3rd and 2 with lots of running room inside the NE 35 yard line nor did he fumble a punt return inside their own 20.
I'll take Burrow more so than not on additional possessions 24/7. It's like an elite basketball player that gets 2-3 early fouls in a game. He's worthless because he's sitting.

I'm admittedly still a bit curious as to what Dalton/Marvin/Zimmer's careers would be like if in 2011 Mike Brown opened up the check book and added some Hendrickson and Orlando caliber FAs to those 2011-2015 teams.
5 year span and I think the 3 biggest outside FA contracts they handed out was...
Travelle Wharton: 3yr/$10m
BJGE: 3yr/$9m
Jason Allen: 2yr/$8.2m

Burrow actually made the right decision and throw and this one.

If there isn't some other small injury bothering Joe, which I think we would have heard about by now, don't teams have to report how many times guys use the bathroom nowdays? I mean the weekly injury report? I could be totally wrong but my gut feel is that his wrist is not 100% whether from new problems or just not fully recovered from the surgery. It's been what 9-10 months since? I thought reports said it could take longer to fully heal and in some small % cases a player is never 100% afterwards?
If Sundays Burrow is the new Burrow it would be a short career but I can't believe we are to that point. If the KC game looks like the Pats game this place will be calling for Browning, no wait he was hurt too wasn't he? I think we all just expect our 1/4 billion QB to be very good if not elite in nearly all games, I know I do. He can be just average in games as long as they win.

Like this? What is he doing? The line of scrimmage is the 35, why is he running? Chase has his man beat straight down the middle. Chase Brown is wide open on the right flat with room to run.
So many examples of this lack of awareness in this game.
