I don't think money is an issue at all..I think that now there is just poor decision making in the entirety of this organization from top to bottom..And. now, I realize that there is some very poor coaching taking place ..We get supposedly good players from college that have energy and potential and they fall flat here..Katie or whomever should hire a quality GM and some mature coaches and get moving the right direction..I think the fans would embrace such even if it took a while to realize consistent success

Why wait?
But Mike Brown and Duke are also problems, and they are not going anywhere.

Yeah, not firing Zac this season or even after. Need to get a new Defensive Coordinator after the season though and Zac needs to step
away from play calling and we need to add a mastermind at OC that knows that you need a running game to compliment your Franchise
QB in Joe Burrow. The Eagles just showed us the way. Jalen Hurts doesn't have near the pressure on him to make plays that Joe Burrow
does, not even close.

I think Pollack is up in the air.
On one hand, we've seen Mims, Trent Brown, OBJ, and Karras play ok. Those 4 have allowed 6 sacks combined.
But Cappa and Volson have allowed 7 combined.
Bengals have gotten nothing from the likes of D'Ante Smith, Jackson Carman, Trey Hill, showing Pollack has not been able to turn water into wine.
Volson's into his 4th year and still playing inconsistent at times and downright getting destroyed other times.
After Hobby, Pollack would be the next on my list.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: 3-5 so far. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

The success of the SB year and AFC Championship game have validated the business model in their mind.
In reality, they had a QB and 2 star WR's on rookie deals which is basically a hack to win in the NFL.
Now that some of those contracts are kicking in, they can't keep veterans like Bates and Reader and it's hurt the product as the drafts haven't replaced them.

We've seen them get rid of Pollack and get worse. So, there's that too.
Maybe he actually is getting a lot out of these guys. Maybe they just shouldn't be starting.
The scouting report for Volson had his potential listed as a backup. 6th or 7th Round grade that we took end of the 4th.

Yep, get new trench coaches as well as new Coordinators on both sides of the ball.

With how bad TEN is doing, maybe they can the Callahans and Bengals can pick up Bill?
I agree though, there might not be any obvious upgrades for OL coach and it's possible they could get worse if moving on from Pollack.
IMO one thing they could/should do is convert more to a WCO. Taylor would have to find a way to get these receivers open on short routes and scheme blocking to help them not get tackled as soon as they get the ball like they do now.
Bengals might also be able to have more success if they had more of a running QB and run more option plays, but you can't really do that with Burrow.

Everything is possible because Burrow isn't happy. That is what matters first. Remember that he and Taylor met immediately after one of the early losses before they even went into the locker room
With that said I think Lou is gone and Pollack is gone. D and Run game has been atrocious. I'd consider getting rid of Taylor to and just do a restart but I doubt that happens. Names out there....I expect Brandon Staley to take over on D

Anarumo is the only one who's seat might be getting a bit warm. The rest are in for the long haul.

As I understand it Zac gives Joe quite a bit of control. Why would Joe "march into" the Front Office and ask for Zac to be fired?

Quite a bit of control over sh!t playcalling from Zac maybe.

I am not sure if I want Zac gone or not. The reality is that playcalling is stale if not bad, lacks creativity and when you need 2 top 15 WRs and a top 5 QB for your offense to succeed that's not an offense.
When you have Joe Burrow you should be impatient....It would not surprise me if they think there is a better voice for him. I think they would consider Ben Johnson, Vrabel, Vance Joseph and Joe Brady.

What I have learned from this Message Board over the last 3 years:
EVERY good play was because Joe Audibled out of a play play call by Zac
EVERY bad play was because Zac did not allow Joe to audible

Zac has had 2 games this year that I would call decent, the rest has been horrific. He is a terrible playcaller period. His situational calling is the worst in the league. It's baffling you don't see it Fred. Honestly I've never liked his playcalling. But no one can change your mind & no one can change mine. I think he's a good head coach & that's it. Once he loses the locker room it's gonna get bad.

Belicheck is the absolute opposite of that all.
They would never hire him. He'd want to total control of the football operation.
How about offering Belicheck the GM position if they move off of Tobin?

Yeah...it's tough with young WR's. Some come in and thrive. Some struggle.
Burton is puzzling. Can he not learn the playbook? Is it other issues?
Jackson as a 3rd Round DT is going to take some time.
Jenkins...I don't know.
Murphy...I don't know. Wasn't thrilled with Jenkins, Murphy, or Dax Hill draft picks. But, I don't know. I watch less and less college ball by the year.

What people don't get is the Bengals management doesn't like to give up control. Belichick would want total control.
The Brown/Blackburn family seem to hire HC's and above that fit a certain personality mold that will kind of go with the flow and not make too drastic of changes.
Belichick could never co-exist with them.
Quite frankly, Belichick is like 72 too. I don't see it.
