Fields an upgrade for Steelers

Jets secondary was pretty beat up.

Wilson looked better passing in the 2nd half but I don't know if that "moon balls" will land against better teams.

Nice win, but it was the JETS.  And now they get an equally bad Giants team.

Should have a decent record before the back half of the season starts getting harder.

That’s an understatement. They were on like CB4. They lost their safety in the game and Sauce was a little nicked up.

New York was without top cornerbacks D.J. Reed and Michael Carter as well as safety Chuck Clark before the game. Safety Tony Adams was lost during the game.

Even All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner was lost for a series with a knee injury.

Why wouldn't they? Wilson made a living off of throws like that in Seattle for years.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Then you see the number of dumb penalties and wonder if he's even doing that.

I liked the hire.  I defended him against the racist "he only got hired because of the Rooney Rule" nonsense.  But he seeming inabilty to change his philosophy to match the changes in the league are frustrating.

Sometimes even great coaches go stale.  And Tomlin was never a "great" coach.  Sure fire HOFer due to longevity and that whole "never had a losing season" thing.  But his lack of playoff success will haunt Steelers fans.

Unfortunately, with them playing the Giants next week, I see them 6 - 2 in first place next week.

Until they win another playoff game I stand by what I said.

Slow starts, catch a break, good bounce, missed call or non-call and D or ST makes a play for the win.

It's just not a recipe for long term success against the better teams in a win or you're out game.

Even the Giants game was a one score win WITH the Steelers getting two late turnovers and a bunch of calls and a punt return TD.  If the KR gets called back for running into the kicker it's a one point game...lol.

I guess because Wilson is not the young guy who won in Seattle for a few years.

He's held his own so far.  Now they are heading into the harder stretch of the season we'll see how they do.

How many Playoff games did Paul Brown win after the merger?
