Jermaine Burton still doesn’t know the freaking plays

Yeah, he doesn’t, miss or be late for a meeting and your coach suddenly doesn’t like you. You’re dense as hell lol

Is honestly call LA and ask if they’d take Burton for Cupp straight up

Why would the Rams trade Kupp, a really good player, for a player that can't be bothered to show up for a walk through practice during his rookie season?

I just went back and watched the very end of the game. And it must have been right after that footage there. But Burton sat down beside Joe and he got up and I'm no lip reader but it appears as if Joe says don't sit by me. Someone mentioned that in game day thread but I didn't catch Burton sitting there. But you could tell Joe wasn't happy.

Burton may well have cooked his goose

Side note…

Good to know Burrow isn’t a little ***** and will go here if he needs to.

You didn’t already know this? Go watch the video of him doing the tire drill at Ohio State. Or read up on him fighting Patrick Queen in practice at LSU.

9 has that dog in him.

Heard of the Queen fight but wondered if it was more so he was pushed into it or maybe it was more of a playful respect both ways fight

Hearing Queen's version, it was not "playful".

Or watch him go at it with TJ Twatt during that game. Twatt manhandled him, as one would expect a DE to do to a QB, but 9 had no backup in him.

That little shit has probably been handed everything on a silver platter throughout school because of his athletic talent. That's not going to happen in the NFL where everyone's good.

“Little shit” is looking like a good term cause i can’t explain these issues other than youthful bullshit

Literally everything fell in place for him to get a shot as the number 2 which would’ve made us more comfortable this season and next but he can’t even get on the field cause of his mental

That’s not good

I’d think about trading him but wouldn’t pull the trigger cause the upside is just so crazy

But i will also say not being able to get him on theme field is on Zac Taylor

Mofo is too good to be getting DNP healthy

"When you get to this point in your career you gotta grow up. You're a grown man. Nobody is going to baby you anymore," Mike Hilton said. "We know how talented he is and how much he can help, but he has to grow up and just mature and realize he's gotta put the team over himself."

Pretty much sums it up.

Disagree this is 100% on him, if he does not figure it out soon, he will probably be out of football in next couple years.

Yep, 100%. Having a veteran call you out publicly will be a real test. How Burton responds will speak volumes on his career

Love his talent but man its so obvious why this kid fell to the 3rd with first round talent. He better wake up and realize he's in the process of blowing his 1 shot at being an NFL player. Does he not see how much WRs get paid these days? If the prospect of signing a 100m+ contract in 3-4 years doesn't get you to act right im not sure what will.

He didn't show up for Saturday's walk through....he ABSOLUTELY should not see the field as a result.

Suspend him some games for conduct detrimental to the team with no pay and see if he grows up at that point (I don't know if you can do that}. TJ as a mentor meant nothing to him. It also sends a message thru the locker room that Bengals are not soft. Burrow vouched for him and then he paraded around the sideline all happy-go-lucky after being declared inactive. Immaturity to the max. I was one of the posters who didn't understand why they kept him underutilized. Boy, was I wrong.

I am not a doctor,  but If you watch him closely and listen to him speak it would appear that he might  have other things going on....maybe ADHD..I think the team is aware of this and most likely is working with docs to get some sort of stabilization to this problem..if possible that will allow him to play in the NFL..I don't think Burton is purposefully  being  a punk or immature by any means..I also think that this is why the majority of Bengals players have not trashed the guy and are showing compassion in thought and response.....And ..like many others like him  I hope they find that happy  medium for him , one that allows him to have a good life and maybe even play football at a high level...He seems to be a bright young man and again, I dont sense that he  is purposefully trying to trash his career..Things going on we don't don't about

You were not wrong..but I dont think that suspending him without pay etc is the answer..I firmly believe that Jermaine hassome real health issues..  this team is trying their best to work with him .I dont think that his behavior is purposeful or punkish in any way..Good luck to Jermaine and the Bengals
