Xavien Howard visiting today

Never hurts to try and improve the roster. I just wish Duke was better at it.

The panic and hyperbole is ridiculous, people.

We just signed a WR off the street. Higgins never plays. Our WR3 with Tee healthy ranks 119/125 out of qualified WRs (Yoshi). Irwin is sure handed but cannot get open. Burton is a talented head case. C. Jones is hurt again and hardly sees the field when healthy.

We just elevated Grandy to play TE on gameday despite having 4 healthy TEs on the roster. McLachlan cannot be active over him. Gesicki & Hudson can't block. And Sample is not a receiving threat and ranks 68/70 at TE via PFF. We don't have a 2 way TE on the roster.

None of that is hyperbole. Again, if we were fine, Grandy would not be getting elevated or we would not be claiming guys off the waiver wire at WR.

That should be pretty obvious.

All true sadly. Any TE's out there to be had that are versatile?

Don’t not understand how insulting the offer must have been?

He would rather go home and not get paid rather than sign for us and become almost an instant starter.

Wasn't it Friday Night Lights where the line lets the QB get sacked on purpose? I'm not saying what's happening is that extreme, but have we seen anyone on the line stand up for Burrow in ANY situation? Do they not like him? I've seen high school players destroy someone for a late hit on their QB.

Dude came and went. No deal. Might as well edit the thread subject so no one's interest is peaked.

They bring in a guy with a name we recognize, then sign a guy we never heard of.

Seahawks waive leading tackler Tyrel Dodson in ILB shake-up

This guy any good?  Prob not Bengals material since more than likely he will not play for Bengal memorabilia.   Or whatever MB might offer.

Actually he can. He played some safety in college.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

I was told this is the place people wanted to come to.

One of my favorite quirks of the board is when the Bengals bring a guy in for a visit, people comment on it like we signed them.

A lot of guys on the back end of their careers tend to overvalue themselves, as they still see themself as young. I'm 65 and still see myself as young, until my body reminds me I'm not. Howard is 31. He's not going to get some giant deal somewhere.
