I sure hope not. That was a bad Dallas team with a qb that failed to find more than a few wide open receivers on critical downs. Unfortunately we are going to play some real shitty teams over the next few weeks. It's got the potential to create the kind of illusion that the FO needs to stand pat this offseason.

Lou held a terrible team to 20 points, and was objectively bailed out by bad special teams play all around.

The idea that this game is a crown jewel for Lou is very telling of his overall failure as a DC.

The saddest part is that the defense could have easily prevented a few 3rd down conversions, simply by executing proper tackling technique.

1st down in the 4th quarter Dowdle ran for 14 yards to start a drive and then the Cowboys were like "lets throw it 3 straight times now" all for incompletions. It blew my mind. If I were a Dallas fan I would have been screaming at the TV/OC. Tied game, 6.5 minutes left in the 4th quarter, you run for 14 and then just refuse to run it again. Lol

Bengals are not interested in Zimmer I'm pretty sure. His defenses have been horrible as of late as well. We need a fresh new face to come in and no not any retreads.

Even if he'd held Dallas to 0 points and 0 yards yesterday... the season is dead in the water because they've lost virtually every other game. They've managed to totally nullify an MVP season by the QB. Saving some face in a meaningless game shouldn't be weighted that highly when they were nowhere to be seen in far more important games.
